Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

Phone: 314. 567. 4200                                                                       Description International Finance Warranties Shipping Terms Contact Description E-mail: info@classiccarstudio. com Phone: 314. 567. 4200 This 1969 Camaro is a two year old complete rotisserie restoration. The car was purchased by a customer of ours and after some driving. he decided he wanted a lot more. The idea was to improve reliability. handling and comfort while retaining a close-to-classic appearance. Most importantly. the car was to be in brand new condition from front to rear. The Camaro cost nearly $150k to build. so the second owner should do rather well.   The entire car was stripped down to the shell so the project started with a completely clean slate. A smoothed firewall was installed and the front sub-frame was stripped and powdercoated. After the panels were straightened and the gaps were set. the car received a base/clear paint job with Z/28 style stripes. All of the stainless trim is new. all of the chrome is new. and for that matter. nearly every screw. nut and bolt on the entire vehicle has been replaced. The undercarriage and engine compartment have been refinished in the GM Satin Black. The Camaro uses a Painless wiring harness with a modern fuse block and modern reliability.   The engine is the GM Performance ZZ427 Rat Block. This iron block engine has a 10. 1:1 compression ratio and an aggressive hydraulic roller camshaft which offers awesome performance while running great off pump gas. The block uses a 4-bolt main and the internal assembly is all forged. The engine uses oval port heads with 2. 19" intake and 1. 88" exhaust valves. The intake on the ZZ427 is an oval port aluminum unit that uses a 870 CFM carb. The transmission is the tried and true Tremec TKO 600. These 5-speed transmissions are the ideal blend of street manners and strength and after their initial debut in the Mustang. they have been applied to nearly every RWD high performance vehicle on the market. Paired with the Moser-built 12 bolt Posi traction rear end. the car revs at about 2. 00 RPM on the highway at 70 MPH. Keeping the motor cool is a Griffin Radiator with dual electric fans. The fans kick on when the coolant hits 180 degrees and will hold the temp there in hot temperatures with the AC on full blast.   The Camaro handles like it's on rails due to a much improved suspension and a lower ground hugging ride height. The car features coil overs on all four corners courtesy of the folks over at Heidts. In addition to that. the car has dropped spindles. lowering springs and a quick ratio power steering gear box. The rear suspension has the Heidts 4-link kit w/panhard bar and subframe connectors that tie the front subframe to the rear subframe. The entire suspension works seamlessly and provides the perfect combination between handling and ride.   The interior of the car has been completely redone with the factory Deluxe interior guts. however. the front seats have been upgraded with new Recaros that were recovered to match the rest of the interior. They are extremely comfortable. supportive and almost look like they could have originally been in the car. The original gauges were done away with and in their place is a custom set by Classic Instruments. The modern stereo has custom speakers in the kick panels and a plug in for your phone. Keeping interior icy cold all summer is a Vintage Air unit. These are wonderful aftermarket systems that use all modern parts are used in the best classic cars.   For the Camaro enthusiast looking for an awesome Pro Touring build. this Camaro was built without cost in mind to the highest quality standards.
