Description of 1972 Chevrolet El Camino

Hello!, irst off the vin IS correct! its a 72 so itdoesn'thave a 17 digit vin...for sale is a beautiful 72 el camino its a southern car, ody and frame are clean and have never seen snow and hardly seen rain, ll original steel besides the hood. Car is straight, ever been hit, ll the doors/hood/tailgate open and close with that perfect sound as they should
It was built to be a street / strip cruiser, good blend of both..really a fun car and easy to drive but could easily be turned back into a original looking classic or made into a nice drag car... I have no place to keep the car and have to many other things going on right now, y loss your gain. Paint isnt perfect but it shows very well.. gets alot of compliments, not sure when it was repainted but she looks just as good in person as in the pics if not better

Engine is an Iron headed 350 small block chevy 4 bolt mains, 0 over with a recent rebuild, ery nice sounding hydraulic camshaft matched to the heads, the heads have been worked over some,2.02 intake valves, oller rocker arms, crew in rocker arm stud, chrome moly pushrods, nbsp;guide plates, round 10.5-1 compression
Intake manifold is a Edelbrock high rise with a new Holley 780cfm vacuum secondary carburetor
MSD HEI vacuum advance distributor
Very clean and tidyaluminum wire looms, nice8mm performance plug wires and NGK plugs

new motor& trans mounts, tarter, uel pump... basically everything

as for some of the dress up parts it has
Edelbrock cast aluminum tall valve covers with chrome T style hold downs
Solid Billet aluminum PCV valve and chrome breather
Solid Billet aluminum air cleaner housing with etched in flames

Billet & polished aluminumpulleys, olished aluminum water pump, tainless steel 17" fan.. Chrome power masters alternator & brackets
Solid Billet aluminum battery tray, battery has been re mountedin the bed along with a main power/kill switch on the bumper

Polished aluminum 20 gallon fuel cell WITH sending unit...there is a fuel level gauge in the car

stainless braided fuel line and AN fittings

Griffin aluminum 3 or 4 row radiator with solid billet cap

new heater hoses... car has heat

Transmission is a Th350 (turbo 350).. rebuilt same time as the motor, hift enhancer kit, 000 stahl and separate cooler
8.5in 10 bolt, uilt with a posi unit and 4.56gear set
Full length stainless steel headers w/ 3" collectors
true duals 2.5" all the waytoo the rear bumper with an H-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers... car sounds amazing

New Weld Racing Draglite wheels, 5x8"s in back.. 15x5"s in front (skinnys)
New tires front and back. BFG T/A Radialsin the back

as for the interior the carpet is in great shape, eats are leather reclining bucket racing style seats.. the speedo works but isn't configured for the 4.56 gears, ll of the dash/warning lights work goodas well as all of the out side lights
All electric autometer "phantom"gauges
grant aluminium leather wrapped steering wheel
B&M Ratchet shifter
The bad.. dash pad is cracked and it needs a new headliner
Ok as for the exterior of the car it is a beautiful color and really looks nice but it does has a few chips here and there, t isn't perfect but it shows very well, here is a small bubble forming under the paint behind the rear wheel on the bottom corner on both sides and a very small one on one of the fenders(shown in pictures) hasn't even come through the paint yet and other than that the car is completely rust free.. frame, loors, ockers, inch welds, umpers.... all clean....all original steel

The bad... the car had chrome trim along the top of the bed rail.. also continued around the corners of the back window area and ran down too the top of the brake lights.... who ever did the body work on this car filled the chrome trim mounting holes and didn't use the right filler, or did they mix the hardener correctly and now it is starting to crack( shown in pictures ) It can be fixed and I assure you it is the only place there is any mud in the car, if you know these cars well you know where they rot and can see how clean thiscar is in all the areas they would normally go first. If it didn't have the cracking I would be asking considerably more thanI am forthe car. If I had the time and resources to fix it I would but just don't have the time...
also the inner wheel wells have been removed to help get weight off the front end and I no longer have them

the hood is new and hasn't been painted yet
I have everything needed to make it an SS clone
SS badges for the grille and both fenders, hrome El-Camino quarter panel emblems, hrome Cowl-Induction emblems for the hood and theSS tailgate badge... have the trim that runs along the back of the hood where it meets the cowl and thefollowing pieces that go on the fenders, all new GM parts
