I HATE EVEN WRITING THIS AD TO SELL THIS CAR BUT I HAVE TOO MANY PROJECTS IN THE FIRE. SO, ERE WE GO. I PURCHASED THIS 1969 CHEVELLE BACK IN EARLY 2008. THIS CAR STARTED ITS LIFE AS A BASE MALIBU. AT THE TIME I WAS A CAMARO AND OF COURSE A C10 LOVER BUT I WANTED TO BUILD ONE OF THE BADDEST BIG BODY CHEVELLES IN HOUSTON (AND I BELEIVE THATS WHAT I DID). I TOOK THE CAR TO A BODY SHOP HERE IN TEXAS WHERE THE CAR WAS STRIPPED DOWN TO SEE WHERE WE NEEDED TO GO FROM THERE. AFTER BEING STRIPPED WE REPLACED REAR QUARTERS AND FLOOR PANS BY GOOD MARK, HEN ALL THE PREPPING AND BODY TIME STARTED AND IT WAS PAINTED A PPG TUXEDO BLACK WITH SS WHITE STRIPS THAT SIT DOWN IN THE PAINT. THE PAINT WORK ON THIS CAR IS BEAUTIFUL. THE GENTLE THAT PAINTED THE CAR WAS THE OWNER OF THE SHOP AND HAS BEEN PAINTING FOR 40+ YEARS. THE PAINT AND BODY WORK ALONE COST ME CLOSE TO 20K. FROM THERE I PICKED UP THE CAR AND STARTED BUILDING ON IT SLOWLY. AT THAT TIME THE OILFIELD WAS BOOMING SO AFTER WORKING ON AND OFF ON HER I TOOK HER TO SOUTH TEXAS MUSCLE CARS TO FINISH. SCOTT THE OWNER OF STMC IS ONE OF THE BEST BUILDERS IN HOUSTON AND HIS MAIN FOCUS IS CHEVELLES. AT THAT TIME THIS BEAST STARTED TO COME TO LIFE. ALL THE TRIM, ADGING, MBLEMS, EATS, NTERIOR TRIM, EAT BELTS, ARPET, EADLINER DOOR PANELS, LASS BESIDES BACK WINDOW (THE LIST GOES ON AND ON BUT I THINK YOU GET THE DRIFT) ITS ALL NEW. NOW DOWN TO THE FUN PART, HE RUNNING GEAR. SCOTT HAD HIS MOTOR GUY BUILD A 468 FOR HER. SHE HAS OVAL PORT HEADS, ORGED PISTONS AND CAM WITH A QUICK FUEL CARB AND TO BACK HER UP IS A 4 SPEED ROCK CRUSHER THAT WAS REBUILT AND A BRAND NEW MOSER 12 BOLT WITH 336 GEARS. THIS OLD CAR WILL THROW YOU BACK IN THE SEAT, RIVES LIKE A NEW CAR (STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW) AND WILL NOT OVER HEAT ONE BIT THANKS TO THE BE COOL RADIATOR. I HAVE CRUISED IT A FEW TIMES THIS SUMMER IN THIS TEXAS 100 PLUS TEMP AND SHE RUNS 220 WITH THE VINTAGE A/C ON THAT I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT BLOWS HIGH AND COLD. ALL THE PROPER SS GAUGES WERE ALSO INSTALLED. ALL THE DOME, NDER DASH LIGHTING AND TRUNK LIGHTING WORK LIKE THEY SHOULD BECAUSE IT IS ALL NEW. STMC INSTALLED THE 14INCH BRAKE KIT ON ALL 4 CORNERS, HE QA1 ADJUSTABLE COIL OVERS ON ALL 4 CORNERS ALSO WHERE YOU CAN ADJUST THE STANCE AND WITH THE FRONT AND REAR SWAY BARS THE CAR HANDLES AND RIDES AMAZING. I DECIDED TO GO WITH 17X8 FRONT AND 17X9.5 REAR FOOSE LEGENDS WRAPPED IN NITTO"S. I WANTED TO KEEP THE CAR KINDA WITH THAT OLD SCHOOL MUSCLE LOOK ON THE RIMS BUT IF YOU WANT BIG RIMS REMEMBER YOU CAN EASILY ADJUST THAT RIDE HEIGHT YOU WANT. SPENT A TON OF MONEY IN CHROME UNDER THE HOOD BUT I BELEIVE IT WAS TASTFULLY DONE AND I FORGOT SHE HAS CERAMIC HEADERS. THERE IS SO MUCH ON THIS SWEET RIDE I KNOW I FORGOT THINGS.
