THE TRUCK - SHORT DESCRIPTION:
1975 Chevy K20, eavy Duty 3/4 ton 4x4 truck -CompletelyRebuilt

Equipped with a High Performance Crate Motor that is fully tuned formaximumpower output, custom built firm shifting HD transmission, atched axle gearing and tire size (so it runs right), weet sounding mandrel bent 3 inch exhaust, ustom built HDleaf springs, beefedup axles, ard hitting 12" sub woofers and stereo system, nbsp;ice cold air conditioning. This K20 always stands slightly taller than 99% of ALL other trucks on the road. This truck shames everybody that thinks their truck is the biggest on the road until you pull up next to them with this truck. It is kind of funny to see them try and not look- lol. ...And if you ever find a taller truck, t will have NO front drive shaft and be 2wd only... This K20 truck is at the limit of height and still has a properly working front drive shaft due to a $1500 axle modification that re-aligns the pinion angle upward by cutting off the steering knuckles and then twisting the differential upward and re-welding the steering knuckles back on in a special jig to keep it all straight. No body does that, r at least very few. The list of modifications is long, ut the bottom line is that the truck is well sorted outmechanicallyand works really good without breaking any parts. I have used it to haul loads of gravel, lywood, ull trailers... Just like any regular Heavy Duty truck. It is "built right" and there was no expensespared to have a proper working vehicle. If it was a crew cab, would keep it.You have to drive it toappreciatethe sports car "like" performance of this truck. This big truck is NOT slow...

The truck is ready to drive anywhere, ny distance, ight now.

ASKING PRICE:
$23,000 or best offer or trade for "stock" crew cab 4x4 of equal value, r I would pay you the cash difference for something worth more if I want it. Or you trade me yours and pay me the difference. Thanks. I am not interested in junk or projects or something worn out.

MONEY SPENT:
I have spent over $30,000 on parts and supplies for this build,
That is separate from the cost of the complete rust free truck I started with.
And I have countless hours fabricating the truck for 2 years on jack stands.

17" LIFT TOTAL:
12 to 13 inches of custom bent leaf spring in front
3 inch rectangular tubing welded between frame and springs for hitchreceiver(for tow straps)
3 inch body lift - Makes easyaccessto header bolts, park plugs etc. and more tire clearance
Tires are 39.5 tall.

NEW PAINT:

New PPG paint - Chevy White - JULY 2015 with NEW windshield and NEW seal, EW rear sliding window and NEW seal, EW front grill, EW lights, EW front bumper, EW door mirrors, EW power window motors, EW window tracks, EW door lock actuators, EW window switches, EW door seals, EW door window felts, EW wind wing seals, EW wind wing locks, emblemholes were filled, rip rails removed and so much more. The front end comes from a 1985 and has a headlight flip to lower the head lights.

MILES:

Has about 18,000 miles on the entire build finished in 2008: NEW GM HO-350 crate motor fully tuned, ustom modified NEW T400 transmission from GM, ustom built twin stick 205 transfer case, EW custom drive-shafts with NEW u-joints and NEW 1350 CV joint, EW custom cross over steering set up and complete axle builds with NEW bearings and NEW brakes (NEW pads and NEW calipers and NEW master cylinder and NEW brake lines and NEW bias valve and NEW proportioning valve etc.). The cab odometer says 64,000 and I assume that it is 164,000, nly rolled over ounce. This truck was sitting for many many years before I bought it. I have had it for 10 years. The truck gets driven pretty regular to the gym, 15 mile round trip. I used to go off roading with it behind my house on 200 acres of vacant wetland, ut Nashville made a park out of the land and it is now off limits. So I retired the truck from 4x4 duty and painted it this year. No more scratching it.

WHY SELLING?

I need a crew cab - My family has out grown the regular cab truck.

PARTS - LIST - AND - DETAILED - DESCRIPTION:

Stainless Steel OBX Long Tube Headers 3 inch Mandrel Bent Tubing and Magnaflow mufflers $900
Carb jetting, nd distributor curving, ull tune at performance shop $350
425 Horse Power from GM, ot some unknown machine shop!
TRANSMISSION:
NEW Turbo 400 trans from GM, odified by The Toy Shop Transmission in Pomona, a. $1500 with new converter, ustom valve body and shift points, ill shift into first gear at any RPM for racing or mudding. Shifts very firm, ut not too hard to break, his meant that we had the valve body in and out of the transmission 5 or 6 times to get the firmness adjusted just right (quite an effort). Has heavy duty trans cooler $100. Also has B&M ratchet shifter $350 with reverse lock out.
TRANSFER CASE - Twin Stick:
NP 205 transfer case with all new bearings by Tri County Gear in Pomona, a. $800 rebuild with shift rod modification for twin stick operation. The NP 205 hardly ever needs a rebuild, hey are gear driven and VERY stout units. But, ou can't have a twin stick ability with out taking it apart to modify the shift rods. So new bearings were installed while it was disassembled for the TWIN STICK modification. This NP 205 has twin shifters to engage front or rear low transfer case individually or together $400. That means it can be front wheel drive. Or rear wheel drive in low transfer case, hich is how I do MOST of my mudding until I get stuck and engage the front axle to get out. It's a good practice and gives you a chance to get out on your own. And this truck flings more mud in 2 wheel drive than most trucks that use 4 wheel drive! No Joke. Hardly ever have I been stuck in this truck. But I have been stuck needing help.
DRIVE SHAFTS:
J.E. Reel in Pomona, a built the rear drive shaft with a NEW rear 1350 CV joint $450 and drive shaft tube with stock rear yoke and new u joints balanced $300. And all u joints on truck are new. The front drive shaft is also balanced with new u-joints in the CV Joint $300. Front CV Joint has been clearance all around the yokes so the yokes won't touch each other during harsh articulation angles. The front drive shaft angle is extreme, nd every trick has been done to ensure its proper operation. You'll be hard pressed to find another truck this BIG that has a front drive shaft connected, nd works, nd works correctly...
REAR AXLE:
Has 14 bolt semi float rear end with 30 spline axles, .5 inch ring gear, :88 gears $250 and a EATON Clutch Type Posi Carrier (it Does NOT have a stock eaton g80 - those always break) Posi cost $900 alone plus bearings etc.
FRONT AXLE & STEERING:
Front axle has 4:88 gears $170 and is an open carrier, o posi, ana 44 with an Off Road Unlimited cross over steering set up that cost over $1000 with new 2wd steering gear box needed for the conversion. I could have used a Dana 60, t would have been cheaper than the steering kit, ut I wanted the bullet proof, orged, piece, teering knuckle that is only made for the 44. Plus, left the differential open and have never broken an axle after lots of mudding. But, have broken several steering components on dana 60's axle housings in the past... Not to mention, he dana 60 has studs in the casting for the passenger side leaf spring pad threaded into the differential case that can (and have in the past) that can pull out! ...the dana 44 has U bolts that are stronger. And you can always look to see that dana 44 u bolts are tight vs. the dana 60 studs could be pulling out and you wouldn't know by looking. That's why I run a dana 44 and not a dana 60. Dana 60's can leave you stranded in the mountains with no steering, t has done that to me 3 times in the past, ll steering related problems. You'll never break the Forged ONE PIECE steering arm from Off Road Unlimited. One last point, he dana 44 axle that you might break is very cheap, 30 to replace if you break the stub axle vs. a dana 60 stub axle is $200. It's a cheap weak link to break. Has Warn Premium manual locking hubs $100.

Front axle steering knuckles were cut of and re-welded on with a proper pinion angle, sing a special jig to keep it all straight while welding, o let the front drive shaft work without breaking, nd that cost $1500 to have done and all new bearings and brakes were installed at that time costing even more in parts.

BRAKE LINES:
Custom Built, xtra Long, tainless Steel Braided brake lines front and back $200. Plus new Brake Master Cylinder $48, rake bias valve block $75 and rear proportional valve with adjustable hand knob from Wilwood brakes $42 for the back brakes adjustability, ew hard lines $35 etc.
LEAF SPRINGS:
Altlas custom leaf springs Front and Rear were bent for the truck and the front springs have a military wrap on them to keep the front from twisting and breaking the front drive shaft, hat cost extra and the military wrap works well at eliminating axle wrap in the front. $700
Rear springs have a shackle reversal and NO lift blocks (lift blocks are junk and break).
The Front springs are connected to a 4 x 6 rectangular tube with a receiver hitch for pulling out of mud. Works well and gives you the ability to hook to a truck in front and pull out a truck behind you like a train.
ROLL CAGE:
There is a custom bent roll cage in the cab built with 4130 chromoly tubing that cost $400 for the material alone! I spent lots of time bending the tubes just right to install it right up against the roof and rear cab.
CAB RE-BUILD:
The cab has dyno mat sound deadening material glued all over the bare cab when it was stripped bare and had nothing in the cab.
The upholstery was all new 6 years ago,
The front and rear glass and seal are brand new $700
The doors are completely rebuilt and have new seals, ew rubber, ew window motors and tracks and new door locks actuators and new switches and new everything like hinges and hinge springs and bushings etc. when I painted it this year. parts are $600
The truck was at the paint shop for 7 months and was completely taken apart including the doors and the bed was removed from the frame for including all new glass, eals, ront grill, umper, ights etc. $3500
39" TIRES & WHEELS:
The tires are new Super Swampers with 2000 miles on them, hey were "trued" which means I had Taffa, Big Rig Shop in Nashville, had Taffa's technicians make the tires round. So they put them on a machine that removes the high spot until the tires are round and drive smooth, his cost $400 to have the tires trued and balanced. Tires were $2150 delivered, he wheels are Micky Thompson 16.5 x 12 and cost $800. That is $3350 for wheels and tires trued and balanced for the street. All BIG mud tires are NOT round when new, nd they will bounce going down the road making you sick from vibration. These are smooth as silk, t the cost of precious rubber removed in the process and at the cost of several hundred dollars in expense to have it done. The truck goes down the freeway VERY NICE! The tires are just the right size for this trucks power and gearing.
SHOCKS:
All shocks are 2 years old and are Rancho RS 5012 (rs5000 series), ll 10 of them. $600
5012 are 5000 shocks but longer than stock for the lift.
STEREO SYSTEM:
The stereo is an Eclipse with IPOD control, as two 12 inch Kicker sub-woofers. 1200 watts of power in a custom install with all the sound deadening material in the cab and it sounds absolutely wonderful, oud, lear, risp and hard hitting. Imaging is great with custom front speaker placement and Kenwood speakers with cross overs using capacitors (old school). Subs are electronically crossed over at the amp. System runs a Deep Cell Battery and 200 amp alternator. cost well over $1500 for parts alone.
THANKS FOR LOOKING
