Description of 19780000 Chevrolet Camaro RS

1978 Camaro RS.
First, he car is a 350, utomatic, :11 posi with ladder bars. All the lights and blinkers work. Car steers and stops really well and sounds awesome. motor is tight!
Engine: Engine is a 350 motor with a mild build to include heads 333882 casting, dlebrock performer dual plane intake with 1" carb riser, olly 650 DP carb, eaders, teel roller rockers and Accell 8.8 wires. I do not know piston, am or crank specs. I replaced the intake gaskets because the front seal was hanging out and the inside of the motor is spotless. I also replaced the header gaskets too. Also has a new Water neck, lternator and bracket and belts, attery and added the correct coolant overflow tank. Engine runs well, ood oil pressure but does need the carb and timing to be dialed in. Thermostat is 160 and is working fine. Fan and fan shroud will be replaced with a more aggressive fan to help keep it cool.
Transmission is a TH350 with a 10" high stall converter from Ultimate Converter Concepts. Possibly a reverse pattern valve body to accommodate the Megashifter...not sure. Has a new dipstick, ould use a new kickdown cable just because its beat up looking at the carb end. It needs new trans pan gasket, ts leaking a bit, ll be working on this next.
Rear End: Stock 10 bolt housing, osi with 4:11 gears out of an early 70's Camaro.
Body, rame and Paint: look to be in good solid original condition with no signs of ever any damage, o rust or rot on the floors, runk area, rame, indow corners. The sheet metal has had some really good body work done at some point and the car was repainted. Paint shines nice and car is pretty darn straight. Looks like it was a yellow car from the factory as well, ust a different shade yellow. Both upper and lower grills are new. Hood scoop was opened up to be functional as well. There are no wipers or wiper motor. I do have the radio antenna but the chrome bezel is pitted, eed a new one. Window trim is painted satin black and is on the car now.
Interior: Inside was somewhat apart when I bought the car. The floor and trunk under the carpets were completely POR 15'd. Interior color is black, n some of the pictures the seats look grey, hey are black! I re installed all but one of the heater vents to fill the empty holes in the dash. The dash should really come out for the lower left vent to go in. The dash pad is not cracked but has the typical right side lift in the corner. There is no radio or heater box but I do have the duct work. Heater box and A/C holes in the firewall have a bolt on block off plate fastened to the firewall. The door panels are in excellent shape with no tears or holes, oth arm rests look to have the front mounting hole on the pad needing to be fixed or just purchase new armrests. Headliner is new, enter console is new, &M megashifter is new. carpet is new. Front Seats are an aftermarket seat but are really comfortable. There is a big Tachometer bolted through the dash board with a separate shift light strapped to the steering column. Needle on the Tach stays pinned and im not sure why. I haven't had a chance to look at it. Oil and water temp gauges are mounted where the heater controls used to be. Sill plates in good shape. No seat belts but I do have the trim covers for them. Overall the inside is nice and clean.
Wheels and Tires: Back 275/60/15 with half tread left, ront 165/80/15 like new all mounted on Weld Wheels. Cool!
Overall this is a really cool Hot Rod. It just needs a little more time to dial her in. I have another Camaro and one is enough for me. If I can think of anything else, will edit this post.
