Description of 1971 Chevrolet C-10

Up for bids is this ONE OF A KIND Classic Beauty. It's a 1971 Chevy C10 Longbed Fleetside pickupAcquired in 2012, t's been a summer ride only since then. The body is better than good. The paint is eyecatcher quality.
The engine is a 1975 Pontiac Grand Prix salvage. The transmission is from a 350 Oldsmobile. The floors and frame are in Very Good condition.(NO scale)Newer pipes, ufflers and dual exhausts.Speedo shows about 57,000 miles actual mileage is unknown.Note that the tranny was rebuilt in 2014,The engine had a major tune-up in 2015.
All of the glass is spotless, the rear sliding window works and locks properly.Everything inside is extremely nice. The headliner holds 8 speakers and boosters. The dash, enter console and cup holderarecustom made and finished in warm wooden colors. The seats, ncluding the middle jump seat, the carpet and the dash pad are a warm black color.Note that the gauges were installed in 2015.New windshield installed in 2014.
The exterior is finished in a deep gold color. All metal parts inside have the same finish. The tires and wheels are all matching. The hoodbird is a spare from my 1956 Chevy 210.The bed is covered in Herculiner. The entire bed is covered with a Truxedo cover. The rear bumper is a factory installed heavy gauge option.Note that the tires and wheels were installed in 2013.The Truxedo cover was installed in 2015.
Now obviously, his is a 45 year old truck! It has been well maintained but .....I have a todo list that I work on each year. Some of my todo items are:
Driver side rocker has some hidden rust.not showing through the paint but evident.
There are minor chips in the paint that needattention as well as a small hole (drill mistake)in the hood that needs filled, ainted.
The current AM/FM radio with tape cassetteis SO outdated! I want a Sirius system next year.
If you're wondering why I'm offering this truck, have a good reason.I moved from a house to an apartment when I retired and it's hard totake GREAT care of it when I share a parking lot with 50 cars.I'd probably be happy if it doesn't sell but I hope it finds a better home.
