Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Power Pack car in Turquoise and White original colors. 116K miles. Have owned for sixteen years. My wife wanted this car to replace a four door she owned for years. I looked for over a year to find this one and it was the most expensive in Hemmings at the time as I wanted a nice car to start with. The car was originally owned by thelittle old lady from Pamona, ext to Pasadena and she put most of the miles on the car before it became a collector piece. I purchased with 96,000 miles on it. Since purchase I have replaced brakes, ngine, ransmission, xhaust, ires, nd the interior to keep the car running and looking spectacular. The car had anexpensivepaint job when I purchased and is still beautiful. I pulled the engine and replaced the longblock with a rebuilt 350 with four bolt mains. The transmission was replaced with a fresh 700R4 from Bowtie Overdrives. The transmission was set for smooth factory shifts as the car was being built for my wife. The interior was done in factory original style and materials to keep the car looking original from one of the topCalifornia Bel Air interior shops and took over a year to get the car back. When the engine was out much of the removable sheet metal was powder coated in original colors to give a slight pop to theengine compartment. The original manifolds, arb, alve covers, enerator, tc. were used in the rebuild to keep the carlooking original. If you look carefully you can see the car has a roll bar installed and painted in factory colors to hide it as best possible. This was done to secure seat belt harnesses to keep anyone from hitting the dash in case of suddendeceleration and to add head rests for safety. This was done as a bolt in and can be removed. The car is a super clean California car from new with clean title andBlack California Plates. Everything seemsto work well with exception that clock is moody, ut have not checked in awhile, nd the fuel sender float sunk, system works, ust float sunk and I have not gotten around to fixing that. There is a crack in driver vent window and was quoted $13 for just the glass. Also passenger mirror has crack in it, ut wanted to leave some effect of patina. One screw to replace the mirror, o minor task. Hasreplacement radio in stock dash, lso have original radio. Chrome is nice, ut original.
