Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro

Up for sale is this nice, lean, river quality 68' Chevrolet Camaro SS done in red with a black Deluxe interior. This Camaro has a NOM Big Block Chevy engine which isan early seventies oval port 454 along with a T400 automatic transmission and 12 Bolt open rear axle with 3.08 gears. It has power steering with a CCP quick ratio steering box. For brakes it has factory power disc brakes on the front with drums on the rear and Chevy Rally wheels all around. For air conditioning it has a Vintage Air Gen IV air conditioner and heat system installed.
Inside the Camaro there's a Deluxe Interior kit installed with aftermarket gauges on the console and a Retro Sound AM/FM radio with USB/SD MP3 playback. Its had the wiring replaced with a modern Painless wiring system. Under the hood there's a Ron Davis Racing aluminum cross flow radiator with dual electric fans. The engine has an Edelbrock high rise, olley double pumper, eaders, SD distributor and ignition system, ngle roller rockers, unati solid lifter cam, ilodon 7 qt oil pan with kick outs, arch serpentine belt system and many other name brand components in the build.
The Camaro was built over a period of several years by the previous ownerwho had owned the carin Tucson, rizona for over 25 years. Most of thecurrent work, ike the interior and paint, ere redone around 6-7 years ago. Please note this is not a show car. It has numerous paint flawsuponclose inspection but it is a nice driver quality car that has a straight body andlooks very presentable. It showsvery well at cruise nights and car shows. The car doesn't appear to have any rust that I've been able to see and the car's prior owner (who had the car for over 25 years) also bought the car froma seller in Tucson so it has spent at least the majority of its life here in Arizona after being built in Los Angeles.

Please note I don't have any documentation that the car was an original Super Sport even though it has all the correct trim and equipment. Most of the Super Sport trim is reproduction but there are several Super Sport trim pieces that are OEM and do matchthe age of the car. There are a few indicators that the car could be an original SSbut I have no protect-o-plate or build sheet and those are about the only way to be certain on 68' Camaros. With 1968 Camaros little info can be gainedfromthe Trim Plate or the VIN. The trim plate shows this Camaro was made in December 1968 in Los Angeles as a V8 sport coupe in Grecian Green with a standard Gold bucket seat interior. (No wondera previousowner had changedit over tored with a black interior from green with a gold interior!)

Please let me know if you have any questions, ould like more pictures or would like to schedule a local showing of the vehicle. I would much prefer a local buyer who is able to inspect the car here locally. The car is located in Casa Grande, Z about 45 minutes south of Phoenix. I alsoshould note thecar is beingoffered for sale locally here in Arizona as well.

Disclosures: These are theflaws I've discovered. As mentioned the paint isvery presentable, s shiny and nice for a driver quality car but there are some paint flaws in the clear coat that can be seen upon close inspection. Some of those flaws might be removed by a cut and buff of the finish but I've never tried as the paint was satisfactory for me. There are also some touched up paint chips on the edges of both front fenders and cowl where the hood meets-likely from removing/installing the hood. Also, ome touched up paint chips at the door sills and also a chip at the bottom center of the back window. None seem to show up in pictures and all have been touched up.

Also listed here are someneeds I've knowthat the car would need at some point in the future. The interior, ncluding seats, arpet, eadliner, ll appear in to be in new condition butthe dash padhas some warping and is uneven. The front doors will likelyneed window regulators as the glass seals up ok but windows are hard to roll up especially so when the doors are closed. Finally, he front tires are brand new but the rear tires should be replaced soon due to age. They have excellent tread and no sidewall cracking but are close to 10 years old.
