Description of 1950 Chevrolet

For Sale is a 1950 Chevy 2 Door Coupe custom modified to match 1990s S-10 Frame.
Current owner of 15+ years sadly parting with his personally custom built 1950 Chevy. Current owner retiring from the auto body business and his long time pride and joy project car has to go. This special car has hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars already invested, nd is ready for the new owner to put their own signature on and complete. Just needs all the side glass cut and installed, ew windshield, nd interior to complete. Owner has had a mild interior quoted at around 3k to finish. Glass is reasonable due to it being flat panel glass. Some universal gaskets and window seals, nstall a new battery, hange out all the fluids, nd fire it up. Motor ran great and it drove in the shop after the body was molded to the frame, 3 years ago. With life getting in the way, ts time for the owner to part ways just prior to completing this unique Resto-Mod!
The Body and paint is all done and ready to go! As you can see from the pics, his car is very straight and the paint is nice with very little dust imperfections that can easily be buffed out. The Body, loors and frame are solid. The body has minor repairable rust is the typical areas on the underbody. Outer body sheet metal panels are in great shape in and out. Floor has had the normal patches and the underbody inner panels have some small rust through areas that can be taken care of easily without compromising the outside finish. The inner rockers fender wells have some rust areas that were going to be addressed when the owner got to the lowering of the car. Depending on wheel and tire modifications that may or may not be needed, hose areas may be removed all together for tire clearance. The original grille was removed to allow for the custom shaped and molded 1956 Chevy Pickup grille for that strong, aggressivelook. The bumpers where removed and the body was molded and shaped accordingly. The door handles were shaved/removed, nd modern latch actuators were installed with the remotes located in the fuel pocket. All outer chrome trim was removed and the clip mounts and holes were all filled, moothed and molded in to the vehicle.
The Frame is out of an early 1990's S-10 pickup. This was used for the modern functionality. It includes, ndependent from suspension, ower brakes, ower steering, 0 bolt rear end that is narrowed to the body to allow for larger, ider tires. Frame is solid. Brakes and brake lines are from the donated s-10 and have been preserved with inside storage for all these years. They still would need to be checked, ines flushed with new fluid installed. The engine compartment has all been modified for the 1950 and 1990s blend offunctionality. An electric fan has been custom installed to help keep the motor nice and cool.
The motor is a 1980's long block 350 with around 350hp. The trans is an automatic turbo 350 or 400 with a B+M custom floor mounted shifter.
It has had a complete painless wiring harness installed with all new custom nostalgicgauges.
There are probably a few details that I do not have on the ad. I am listing for my friend who is the owner of the vehicle. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to get the answers. I do know that with the body, he frame, otor, rans, ll the add ons, nd the hours of modifications add up to well over the best offer price. Just the paint and body work on the outside is valued at 5k by itself. This could be yours for a reasonable price, nd with just a couple more dollars, nd well under the 10k range, his car could be yours with your own final touches.
