1961 CHEVY C10 BAGGEDTHIS HAS BEEN A 2 YEAR PROJECT IN WHICH EVERYTHING HAS EITHER BEEN RESTORED, EBUILT OR REPLACED. INITIALLY I BOUGHT THE TRUCK WITH THE INTENT OF USING IT AS A PARTS CHASER FOR ANOTHER BUILD AND LIKE MOST "CAR GUYS" ONE THING LEAD TO ANOTHER AND THIS IS WHAT I ENDED UP WITH. I'VE ONLY TAKEN THE TRUCK OUT A FEW TIMES SINCE ITS BEEN DONE AND IT DRAWS A CROWD. IF YOU LIKE THAT KIND OF ATTENTION THIS TRUCK IS FOR YOU ALSO THIS TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN SHOWN NO CAR SHOWS, O CRUISE NITES...NOTHING...YOU CAN BE THE FIRST TO SHOW IT. THE TRUCK IS REGISTERED AND INSURED WITH RE-ISSUED CALIFORNIA BLACK/YELLOW PLATES. THE REASON I'M SELLING THE TRUCK IS I NEED SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE FAMILY FRIENDLY. I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN THAT CAN'T ENJOY THIS TRUCK. I MIGHT CONSIDER A TRADE (UP OR DOWN WITH OR WITH OUT CASH) FOR A CHOPPED TRADITIONAL STYLE HOT ROD OR GASSER. TRUCK DETAILS:CHASSIS:HUGE C NOTCH IN THE REAR W/ 2X2 SQUARE TUBING WELDED TOGETHER AND SKINNED WITH 1/4" STEEL. I WAS GOING TO TOW A VINTAGE SPARTAN TRAILER SO I NEEDED THE REAR SECTION OF THE FRAME TO BE SUPER STRONG. THE FRONT CROSS MEMBER HAS BEEN TRIMMED SO IT CAN RECESS INTO THE LOWER CONTROL ARM. BOTH UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS HAVE BEEN MODIFIED TO ACCOMMODATE THE STANCE. ALL THE MODIFICATIONS ARE OVER ENGINEERED FOR STRENGTH AND COMPATIBILITY WITH THE AIR RIDE SYSTEM. NEW SHOCK ON ALL 4 CORNERS. NEW UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS NEW INNER AND OUTER TIE ROD ENDS W/ NEW ADJUSTERS. NEW IDLER AND PITMAN ARM. REBUILT STEERING BOX (MANUAL). JUST HAD THE ALIGNMENT DONE. NEW FIRESTONE 700-16 4" WIDE WHITE WALL TIRES ON FRESHLY POWDER COATED VINTAGE CHEVY 6 LUG WHEELS HELD IN PLACE WITH 2-3/4" BULLET LUG NUTS. NEW BREAKS, EARINGS AND WHEEL SEALS THRU-OUT. AIR-RIDE SYSTEM CONSISTS OF TWO(2) VIAIR 380C COMPRESSORS AT 200 PSI MAX W/ 1/2" AIR LINES. THE AIR TANK IS OUT OF A WWII BOMBER THAT WAS USED AS AN OXYGEN TANK. TANK IS PAINTED THE EXACT COLOR IT WAS BACK IN WWII (ZINC CHROMATE YELLOW) MOUNTED ON A CAD DESIGNED AND LASER JET CUT BRACKET. I WANTED A VERY MECHANICAL ELEMENT TO THE AIR RIDE SYSTEM SO I WENT WITH MANUAL AIR VALVES. THE HANDLES THAT LINK TO THE MANUAL VALVES HAVE BEEN CAD DESIGNED, ASER JET CUT AND TRIPLE CHROME PLATED. THE BALLS ON TOP OF THE KUSTOM AIR HANDLES ARE 1-1/2" VINTAGE CLAY BILLIARD BALLS FROM THE 30'S.ENGINE: INLINE 235 (NOT ORIGINAL TO THE TRUCK) HAS BEEN REBUILT WITH LESS THAN 25 MILES ON IT. EXHAUST DUMPS OUT ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND IT'S ROUTED BEHIND THE FRONT TIRE SO IT'S SHORT AND LOUD AS HELL. STILL HAS THE BREAK-IN OIL IN THE ENGINE. I PUT IN AN AFTERMARKET SPIN ON TYPE OIL FILTER TO MAKE FILTER CHANGED EASIER AND THE FILTERING THE OIL MUCH BETTER. NEW BILLET ALUMINUM DUAL POINTS DISTRIBUTOR. VINTAGE STYLE CLOTH BOUND PLUG WIRES. NEW SPUN ALUMINUM GAS TANK NEW FUEL PUMP. ALL NEW FUEL LINES UP TO A NEW 2 BARREL PROGRESSIVE WEBER CARB. NEW 120A CHROME ALTERNATOR NEW CHROME VALVE AND SIDE COVER.TRANSMISSION:THE SM 420 MANUAL 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN DISASSEMBLED AND INSPECTED AND PUT BACK TOGETHER WITH NEW GASKETS, EALS AND EVEN A NOVAK BILLET FRONT BEARING RETAINER. USUALLY USED IN ROCK CRAWLER BUGGIES THAT ARE USING THE SM 420.ELECTRICAL:NEW WIRING HARNESS ONLY USING THE ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS. THE WIRING HARNESS IS SET UP FOR ELECTRIC WINDOWS, ADIO ETC...ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS HAVE BEEN SOLDERED AND COVERED WITH ELECTRICAL SHRINK WRAP WITH A GLUE INSERT AND DIE-ELECTRIC GREASE APPLIED WHERE NEEDED. SO-CAL SPEED SHOP DASH SWITCHES W/ BULLET KNOBS. EVERYTHING THAT IS HOOKED UP WORKS AS IT IS SUPPOSED TOO. THERE WILL BE SOME MINOR WIRING TO FINISH UP ON THE BUYERS PART.BODY: PAINT IS A MILITARY OD GREEN WITH A HOT ROD SATIN CLEAR COAT. TRUCK WAS TAKEN DOWN TO BARE METAL AND VERY LITTLE BODY FILLER WAS USED WHERE BODY PANELS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. OTHER AREAS I LEFT THE TRUCKS TRUE CHARACTER. ALL NEW COKE BOTTLE GREEN TINTED GLASS EVEN THE WIND WINGS ARE TINTED AND BRAND NEW. THE DOORS HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY REBUILT AND EVERYTHING INSIDE THE DOORS ARE BRAND NEW. NEW CHROME GRILL AND BUMPER NEW WEATHER STRIPING ON THE ENTIRE TRUCK. RE-UPHOLSTERED SEAT IN OX-BLOOD RED AND THE SEAT FRAME WAS SAND BLASTED AND PAINTED HIGH GLOSS BLACK. NEW BLACK CARPET ALONG WITH EVERYTHING NEW, OLISHED OR CHROMED INSIDE THE TRUCK CAB. STEERING WHEEL FULLY RESTORED THE HORN RING AND BUTTON HAVE BEEN RE-CHROMED. NEW TURN-SIGNAL COMPONENTS AND HORN CONTACTS..NO HORN.
