Description of 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 |
Hi Hot Rod and Cruise Night Guys and Ladies. nbsp;I'm listing this real nice 55 for my friend. I know this car's history going back to 1971 when its previous owner purchased it. He was told at that time that this car was made into a race car in 1960. It's a very rust free car. The wheel wells were modified before he got it and some of that body work is starting to show its age. The center front floor was cut up pretty much so that was cut out and a new section installed. The firewall also had been modified greatly. so a four door sedan car that was being cut up donated a rust free firewall to this car so that part was also changed. The engine is a 327 870 block casting. small journal. with 461 heads. The engine was built by Lou Coviello ( LAW Automotive Fairview NJ)Unfortunately. we don't know if it has dome pistons or flat top or exactly what cam is in it. All we were told was that it was solid lifter. We set it at 030-030 and it runs great. The car drives great. doors and trunk close nice. Some of the items in this car include:brand new copper radiatornew wiring harness under the dash through to the headlightsdisc breaksfull manual valve body turbo 350 trans488 Olds posi rear - we were told that this is the heavy duty posi unitmost of the interior is newCalifornia smooth front bumpernew windshieldMallory dual point distributorelectric wiper motororiginal 2 door front seat goes with the carThis is a real solid. real nice driving car. We encourage you to come look at it. Car is located in South Hackensack NJ. very convenient to all highways and 1/4 mile from Teterboro Airport. This is a genuine rubber nose 150. not a 210 or BelAir welded up and patched up. These 150s are few and far between. Look at the pictures closely. The successful bidder will submit a nonrefundable $500 within three business of the close of auction. Balance due at pickup. cash. certified check or bank transfer.
