Description of 1940 Chevrolet Other Pickups 1/2tn SB

Click above arrow forvideo of this 1940 survivor chevy 1/2 ton pick up truck,( If doesnt work try watching on non mobie device! )

I bought this 1940 Chevy 1/2 ton pick up truck from the son of the previous owner who owned a used car delaership in North Carolina who had passed away. The son had it shipped up here to Iowa about 10 years or so ago. The son tried to get it running but had no car knowledge .( turned out The truck had a dirty fuel tank, nd the carb was not getting any gas ) I got it home and we did points and condensor. We rebuilt the master cylinder for the brakes, ooked up therear brakes, but didn't get todoing the front ones, he truck stopsgood the way it is . As the video shows, he truck cranks up on the first try, t drives down the road at 45 mph and it handled the way a 1940 truck should. This truck comes with the clean title ready for you to register. The body looks to be original paint, green body, lack fenders).

I took pics of the cab corners, loor pans, nd cab rockers and kick panels and floor (all look prettyclean) doors had some surface rust along the bottom outside (inside looks good)and fenders had some repair here and there and some original dings etc.I pictured and vidoed any spot I did see anywhere on the truck.Pretty clean overall for the age and being a survivor. The seat is original andis servicable but it should be reupholstered. This is a truly solid running survivor that will need some tweaking but you can definitely drive it and have fun with it the way it is while taking it to the next level. All of the glass is there as pictured, hewindshield still cranks out with ease, eally NEAT! The windows all go up and down with helpand the doors shut the way they should. the tiresLook verydecent but not new.The truck shifts and stops the way it should. It is run off a 12 volt battery and coil and the 6 volt wire harness has been bypassed. it should have a new wire harness (6 volt or 12 volt) installed due to its age (jim carter trucks $205) If you elect to go to a 6 volt, ou would change the battery back to a 6 volt and change the coil to 6 volt. I am running off a aux tank and the original gas tank should be cleaned out before using or replace it (jim carter trucks or LMC Trucks has them) The plate toppers and license plates do not go with the truck. I am setting the reserve well below what the truck should bring to ensure a sale, nly bid if you are serious about buying this truck! To complete this truck as a drive anywhere truck and not just a tinkering around here and there truck, n my opinion I would replace the wire harness, ook up the lights and guages etc., o the front brakes and clean out the gas tank. Personally, would leave the original paint look as the Petina is to die for! It is only original one time! Everyones opinion of what a daily driver survivor 75 year old truck should is different, would recommend that you come and inspect the truck or hire ebay to do a independant inspection before placing a bid. I Require a 500 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. If I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it. I can recommend a shipper I have used in the past who have been very reasonable. Thanks for looking and have fun bidding! 563 568 5111 or 563 568 1182
