Description of 1965 Chevrolet Corvette

1965 Corvette AC Roadster

1965 Corvette convertible: 1 of 133 365hp 327 roadsters built w/AC, and only 88 L76 AC cars came with TI ignition, oupes and convertibles combined). Matching numbers fresh performance built 365hp 327, forged pistons, aftermarket hp rods, alanced, steel crank, ull roller (cam and rockers) double hump 2.02 heads with mild port work, crew in studs and guide plates.orig intake and original 2818 carb. Other factory options include power brakes (new booster installed for cosmetics, still have the dated original booster), ower windows, elescopic steering column, tinted glass, oth tops, ransistor ignition, idepipes (added), lose Ratio M20 4 speed (original matching number) and a Posi rear axle. This is a factory RED/RED car (per original trim tag), ut has leather covers instead of vinyl. super solid frame, rebuilt front suspension, ebuilt trailing arms, ew u joints, resh 4 wheel alignment, ew center force clutch, resh brakes, ew heater core, C system rebuilt w/new hoses, ec drier, vap, nd updated STV valve, 5 original KH steel wheels, oldline radials and nice original hubcaps, detailed engine compartment, ery nice paint, it and finish. mostly original dated components including orig glass (even windshield) block, ntake, arb, valve covers, istributor, oil, lt, tc.

The above row of pictures show the car as I drove it over the past couple years, ran Rally's and/or American Mags on it most of the time because I liked the look better than the hubcaps and as a bonus the wider tires rode and handled much better than the thin Coker goldlines. Car currently sits on the Kelsey Hayes wheels and hubcaps.

looking at the dates, ugust 14th 1964 must have been an important one for this car, lock was cast, rans was built, nd cluster was built all on that same day.

Car has been kept inside for what appears to be most of its life, t is very solid with an excellent rust/pit free frame and excellent birdcage. it is the driest midyear I have ever had in the rain, Carlisle 2014 and 15 and the Summit racing show in 2015 where it really poured!). most all components work except the clock.

The car (and me) are in the flag picture, ts on the right side very end of the 7th stripe

Interested in an outright sale, r will take a partial trade on a midyear Corvette project, nd really would prefer a 67 roadster. non matching numbers are fine. Email with any questions, hanks!
