Thanks to a high-quality restoration in 2007. it looks truly amazing in every conceivable way. and with a smart-running 327 by Matt Bishop under the hood. its also one of the few Imps that lives up to the legend. This is one of those cars that was restored to a very high standard and then driven and enjoyed. just the way the General intended. Nevertheless. it looks absolutely fantastic even up close. with the glossy Ember Red paint showcasing bodywork that probably cost somewhere in the five-figure range. Super straight panels. crisp folds in the sheetmetal. and good gaps throughout suggest that this was far from a quick and inexpensive process. We sell almost every Impala we can get our hands on and the way this one looks all but guarantees it a new home in the not-too-distant future. The mono-tone paint job gives it a somewhat more unified. sleek look and makes the bright engine-turned SS side trim stand out all that much more. In fact. all the trim is beautifully restored. with bright chrome bumpers. expertly polished and straightened stainless. and. of course. that tail panel with the Impala-trademark triple taillights and engine-turned trim. Proper SS emblems are in place. because this is a real code 14 Impala SS V8. Black buckets and a console are more proof that this is a real-deal SS. and like the exterior. every single component inside this Impala has been completely restored. Fresh seat covers look stylish and tastefully restrained. the proper SS door panels are in place. and new carpets are protected by heavy-duty carpeted floor mats to keep things quiet and cool inside. The stock instrument panel is augmented by an ultra-rare factory tach on top of the steering column. and the gorgeous engine-turned trim on the dash and center console is crisply rendered and in excellent condition. Those eyeball vents on either end of the dash mean this car has factory A/C. which has recently been serviced and uses R134a refrigerant today. The steering wheel appears to be original. and if thats the case its in absolutely amazing condition. and they even kept the original AM radio. more proof that this isnt any kind of modified car. The only thing missing is a spare tire. but the fully restored trunk might just be too pretty for that kind of thing. The 327 cubic inch V8 was a relatively recent addition to the Impala lineup. and thanks to a Matt Bishop rebuild. it runs superbly. Its quite nicely detailed. too. with a correct air cleaner. reproduction decals. and bright Chevy Orange paint thats better that the finish you get on some low-end new cars today. Upgrades include a dual-reservoir master cylinder for safety and a big alternator. but none of it detracts from the impressive presentation under the hood. The original PowerGlide was dumped in favor of a TH350 3-speed automatic. and the difference is quite noticeable around town where this SS is always in the right gear. A fresh Flowmaster dual exhaust system sounds awesome. theres a new gas tank hanging out back. and the suspension features new springs. The wheels are Centerlines with retro-looking spinners. and they carry fat 205/75/15 front and 235/75/15 rear blackwall radials for a slightly sinister look. Just about every single nut and bolt was replaced during the restoration. making this an Impala that you can not only show with pride. but drive with confidence. Call today!
