Description of 1964 Chevrolet Corvette

Up for auction is a very nice and very original 1964 Corvette with all matching numbers. Original 327-300 HP engine. M-21 4 speed transmission and rear ( born with drivetrain. ) The original optional hardtop that is in excellent shape comes with the car. Optional reverse lights that work. Newer convertible top in excellent condition. Car runs. shifts and drives beautifully. All engine components such the carb. intake. alternator and exhaust manifolds are original to the car. Valve covers are not original (I think most people seem to put the higher HP covers on because they look sharper then the plain ones. ) Car has always been well maintained and many new parts have been replaced within the last thousand or so miles such as front & rear brakes. wheel cylinders. steering box rebuilt. etc. Everything on the car works…even the clock! Headlight buckets open & close quickly. Beautiful and highly detailed engine compartment. Body is in nice shape with some minor repairs to the front. Door gaps are perfect. All chrome and stainless are in beautiful condition with the tail light bezels being the only exception that have a little pitting. Everything else is either new or in excellent original condition. Paint is nice. has a few chips that have been touched up and some paint shrinkage on the hood and around the nose. I would conservatively rate the paint 7. 8 out of 10…essentially driver quality. All glass is original to the car. Original wheel covers are nice shape. Tires are whitewall radials that make it so easy to drive…holds the road great. The interior to the’64 is in excellent original shape with no tears. rips or cracks on the seats. dashboard or console. Gauges and instrument panel are original and in excellent shape. Under side to the hardtop and the weather stripping are in very nice condition. Convertible frame top is very nice also. Very good frame & birdcage. Unfortunately an injury to the left side of my body makes it difficult for me to push in the clutch and enjoy driving it. Am considering also selling my prized possession because of the difficulty of shifting…a ’66 L79 Nova (see picture). All original and a one of one color combination. Car is factory heat delete and from Hawaii. I welcome anybody to come to inspect the Corvette and drive it (weather permitting. ) Low reserve set for a nice car.
