A little back round about us, orld Wild Wagens. I am the owner of this company that was borne from my passion for automobiles.We purchased this great little truck around 3 years ago... we decided to entrust its rebuild to a local shop In central valley of California who employed the services or experienced local craftsmen and was owned by a 20+ years time served automobile technician...
So although I had planned to bring the truck to UK and increase thepublic'sawareness and liking for this awesome body style the reality is The UK aren't appreciating these trucks as well as they should just yet!
So we are offering the truck for your bidding pleasure here in the good ole US of A..
We started out with a good honest California Native vehicle...believed and very likely in california all its life from what can be determined....There was some rust in the front fenders and door bottom corners...this was completely cut out and new pieces of metal 'let in' so that minimum skim of filler was required....The truck was essentially very straight, little massaging of one rear quarter panel was required low down towards the back....it was dollied as straight as possible so the bare minimum of finishing was required.The paint work is bare metal all the way around...the truck was never in any accidents at all...
The quality of the paintwork is very good..it absolutely gleams! however there are some tiny flaws if you look closley....its a $6,000 paint job and not a $16,000 one!You can be proud of the paint and this truck as it is sure to draw admiration and compliments where ever you take her!?She looks and sounds great cruising down the street!
This body style is the hot ticket and for good reason...it looks so balancedaestheticallyfrom any angle you look at it from!
The body was bare metalled all over, he inside as you can see was repainted also with champagne accents on the door panels....I will try find pictures of when the truck was bare metal!
The motor is a small block 350 believed and advised by previous owner of the truck we removed it from ( also one of our future build projects ) to be a rebuilt unit. My mechanic believes it is rebuilt however unless we take it all apart we cannotguaranteeit
What we can say is it starts right up without any smoke, t sounds and runs strong and tight...idles smoothly, he exhausts does not emit clouds of unburnt gas stinging your eyes and suffocating your lungs! It has been tuned to run efficiently as it should!
The exhaust note is a more understated sporty sound....very business like in a non shouty kinda way! hard to describe..like a gentle rumble at tickover...increasing in volume as you accelerate
There are a host of new parts on this truck to include all exterior brightwork, ewly polished side trim, ewly trimmed seat and carpet...bumpers, rille, eadlight bezels, nside and outside door handles, xterior mirror and interior mirrorthere is a later model tilt column in the cab ...power booster for the front disc brakes up front and camaro 10 bolt rear end with standard drums...The transmission is a smooth shifting Turbo 350 unit.There is a new front screen installed...new carpet..new kick panels the whole inside was painted as you can see with some champagne accents to the door trim panels....All the gauges work, il pressure, uel gauge, ater temp as well as a secondary stand alone engine water temp gauge.All lights. hi and lo beam work, ail lights, top lights, linkers and harn all work. Speedo works however its accuracy cannot be verified at this timeNot shown but will be fitted this week is a shroud around the fan to better direct the air flow over the radiator...and make the area just a little safer..Wipers works also..there is a lovely used but non working chevy radio unit to fill the appropriate spot in the dashA lot of time was spent getting all the little details right and things working properly
All in all this is not a full show quality built truck...it was a full ground up build though..everything taken apart and detailed....It is however better than driver quality and you could take it to the next levelinexpensivelywith very little effort we believe with a little further detailing....notably the engine compartment and the motor itself....if this is something you like to have or do...
The stance and awesome poise isachievedby use of modified front springs and drop spindles, here is a 7 inch drop the rearachievedby use of Blocks and shorter springs.... the very popular BOSS 338 wheels measuring 18 x 8 up front and 20 x 10 in rear all wrapped in brand new tires...235 /40 up front and I believe 255/35 in the rear....the wide rear lip and tire really does give the truck a very business like look....its a snug fit and wasachievedby use of billet spacers and worth every bit of the effort we think!
