Description of 1988 Chevrolet Corvette

Up for sale is my 1988 Corvette. I am selling to try and buy a home and need down payment money. I am located 10 minutes outside Gettysburg. PA. Pick up only. I can meet within a reasonable distance. within a half hour to 45 minutes from my house. New battery and inspection. Currently I have it sitting for the winter season. White exterior. red/black leather interior. 95. xx miles. L98 350 engine. 4 speed auto. and 2. 54 rear. I usually get around 17-18 mpg around town. 24+ highway. since I started driving it again this past summer. I am getting over 21 mpg around town. Power windows. power locks. digital dash. power seats(passenger power is iffy) Being as this is a 26 year old vehicle. it is by no means a show car. I would rate it a 10 footer daily driver. I have waxed it a few times. That said. it has its imperfections. There are a few paint chips. a thin spot. and a cracked mirror. I tried to capture it in the photos. It has its share of squeaks and rattles. Weatherstripping leaks around the windows in heavy rain and car washes. All C4's have these issues. If you have owned a C4 before. you know all about them. I purchased it in July 2012 with 82. xx miles. I have regularly changed the oil with Mobil 1 Full Synthetic High Mileage. Really the only things I have done are plugs/wires/cap/rotor. oil changes. air filter. fuel filter. and belt. I always use Premium 92/93 octane gas. Someone had "redone" the intake gaskets and it was leaking a little oil from the rear of the intake manifold. I removed and replaced all the gaskets. leak free ever since. I have made a few long distance trips in it with no issues. Longest was an over-400-mile trip from southern PA to Alexandria Bay in upstate NY. Again. no issues(and I did it on a single tank of gas). There are a few problems. The trim piece in the rear cargo area that covers the privacy cover is cracked in several places and should be replaced. I tried to repair it best I could. its fixed but isnt going to win any awards. Like I said. little odds and ends here and there. as its 26 years old. Occasionally when you let the tank get close to empty there is a mild fuel starvation issue at W. O. T. most likely due to there being little fuel in the bottom of the tank and it sloshing around. I very rarely ever let the tank get that empty. I always try to keep all my vehicles over 1/2 tank(I'm a little OCD like that). Interior pieces here and there have some cracks around screws. if you are familiar with 1980's GM plastics. it should come as no surprise. The 12v outlet worked some of the time. so I installed a secondary one in the center console(which I feel is a better location anyway). Hard to tell. but there is some primer peeking through on top of the rear bumper. Paint here is iffy due to years of someone dripping fuel on it while pulling the nozzle out. Crack in the driver side mirror. causes a rattle. I have temporarily cured it with a foamie ear plug. Sirius radio NOT included. It has the baseline 16 inch wheels only offered in 1988. 1987 and 1989 models featured a different rim. This is the only set I've ever seen that were chromed. They are normally plain aluminum. Includes the original owners pamphlet and Corvette roof tool. I have a performance chip that came with it but never installed. Asking $5. 00 cash obo. no low ballers. No trades. If you want a test drive. have all the cash on hand.
