NO RESERVE. is this beautiful 1968 EL Camino Custom. This 3rd generation 1968 EL Camino is an original California truck. built at the Fremont plant in the 1st week of September 1968. It has remained in California ever since. Still has its vintage blue plates issued by the CA. D. M. V. This 1968 EL Camino has all of its original metal. The frame. floors. doors. quarter panels. radiator support. hood and fenders are the same as when it left the factory showing no signs of any damage by accident or rust. The body is in excellent condition with nice gaps and panel fitment. Original painted code 782 (Ivory Gold) but now dressed in Tuxedo Black paint that has just been professionally detailed and hand waxed. It shines beautifully. has excellent depth and is of very good driver quality. The bright work on this 1968 El Camino really works well with this color combination. Has very nice. straight bumpers. grill and all trim pieces except the header panel emblem. The heartbeat of this Chevrolet is a rebuilt. believed to be original 327 engine that runs excellent. It is easy starting. smooth running. and makes plenty of power. It does not smoke or leak oil. New headers and side-exit exhaust give this El Camino great muscle car sound! A new radiator. belts & hoses. new Edelbrock 4BBL carburetor and air cleaner have also been installed that gives the detailed engine compartment a nice. no-nonsense look. The 327 is mated to a Muncie M20 4 speed transmission that helps make this El Camino so much fun to drive. Has power brakes with a new master cylinder & power steering as well as the optional antennae built into the front windshield. The original 10 bolt rear end (2:73 ratio) has just had the fluid changed and a new chrome differential cover installed. This is a nice running 1968 El Camino. It goes straight down the road at highway speeds and steers and stops as it should. Rolling on original rally wheels that have been painted. new center caps & beauty rings and brand new tires that look very nice. The inside Of this 1968 El Camino is beautiful! Originally ordered code 782 (Antique Medium Saddle with split bench seat) It now sports Strato bucket seats in new red vinyl. a new black headliner and new carpet. new door panels & arm rests and a beautiful center console with a Hurst shifter & 4 speed shift plate. Has a nice sounding CD stereo w/ aux inputs mounted below the original opening and twin 6X9's mounted behind the seats. There is also a new glove box installed. The dash remains un-cut and even the key buzzer still functions! Will need to have a new speedometer cable installed. This 1968 El Camino will ship with a clean California title. bill of sale and a set of keys. It is currently on non-op with the D. M. V so there are no back fees due or other issues for the new buyer to deal with.
