Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 302 DZ Tribute

To start with, et me first say I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, or the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard earned money, feel that there is never too much information.

As to myself, am a (66) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, am retired from Managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, lease check out my eBay feedback that has only one negative feedback which I believe I should not have received. I was given the option to refund money to the buyer or he would leave negative feedback and ruin my 100% feedback. I did nothing wrong and always disclose everything in my ads so I declined. He left the one and only negative comment out of (1,141) transactions. Many of my transactions have been muscle cars, hich I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, ngland, rance, witzerland and Australia. My reputation for honesty is well known amongst muscle car lovers.

INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE WELCOME WITH A DOWN PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL AND THE BALANCE VIA WIRE TRANSFER ONLY.

Some Brief History on the Camaro:

After two years of watching the Ford Mustang enjoy tremendous success, n September 26, 966, eneral Motors finally launched its entry into the pony car segment, he 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. Although available with a mediocre six cylinder for volume sales, he Camaro could be equipped with several V8s and a myriad of performance options. Chevrolet stated that the "Camaro" was named after the French word for "comrade." The Camaro was available from the start in hardtop coupe and convertible body styles. The 1967 RS package included numerous cosmetic changes including a blacked out grill with hidden headlights, evised parking and tail lights, pgraded interior trim, nd RS badging. Of greater interest to enthusiasts was the SS package which included as standard equipment a modified 350 cid V8, long with simulated air-intakes on the hood, pecial bumble bee striping, nd a blacked out grill. However, he ultimate was the RS/SS Camaro, n which case the RS badging took precedence.

The 1968 Camaro received minor changes for its second year.

The 1969 Camaro marked the last of the first generations and is arguably the most popular.

It featured entirely new, ore aggressive looking sheet metal and revised grille. Going away was the coke bottle shape, aking room for a flatter, ider looking stance.

The Camaro was available in many different configurations, rom a standard Sport Coupe, rubber melting Super Sport, r a track-ready Z/28. The Rally Sport option with hidden headlights, pecial stripes and wheels, pecial bucket seats, ice carpeting, nd other items could be added as a separate package to any of the models.

The Sport Coupe was longer and wider this year, ad bucket seats, arpeting, nd improved Astro Ventilation System.

The SS was “The One with a Name Like the Hiss of a Snake.” Big power, pecial 3-speed transmission, port striping, eavy insulated hood.

Now for your consideration is this beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 tribute. The bad news is it is a reproduction. The good news is; “WHO CARES”!! It is a real factory Hugger Orange, eal V8, eal 4-speed, eal deluxe interior, 69 Camaro with what appears to be a real DZ engine. It is now wearing Hugger Orange paint with Black stripes, black vinyl bucket seat interior with console and console gauge package and comes with a T-10 4-speed transmission and 12-bolt posi rear axle.

This trim tag code translates to Hugger Orange with a Black Vinyl Roof. Also, he Camaro came with the trim tag code of 712 or Deluxe Black Bucket Seat Interior. This 1969 Camaro Coupe has been restored and painted back to the super popular, riginal color of code 72 Hugger Orange. Black stripes were also added along with the front and rear spoilers.

All in all, his is a wicked nice 1969 Camaro that will compete in any of your local car show and bring people out of the stores to hear it rumble when you drive it down the street. A no excuses, 969 4-speed Camaro that has been transformed into a Z28 tribute.

As with all of the cars that I sell on eBay, he easiest way for a prospective buyer to get a sense for the vehicle is with tons of information and loads of photos and a video. Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them and respond ASAP.

Exterior: The Camaro has beautiful Hugger Orange paint accented with the Black painted stripes. There are however a few small bubbles (see exterior photos) which can quickly be fixed and I am told that Hugger Orange paint is easy to blend in. The Z28 callouts are properly in place. The car looks absolutely stunning in the black stripe on Hugger Orange paint color combination as this is one of the most desirable and sought after paint-scheme Camaros you can own. The front and rear bumpers are in very good condition as well as all of the trim work and glass. The door handles and the side mirrors are also in very good condition. Spoilers, arker lights, ail lights and bezels are all very good with no cracks or pitting. The Camaro rides on Goodyear Eagle GTII mounted on a very nice set of Rallye rims.

Interior: The interior is in very good condition sporting comfort weave seat upholstery front and rear. There are no rips, ears or fading in the seats or headliner. The door panels are also very nice with no signs of wear. The carpet and underlayment are both very good and Z28 floor mats are included. The dash has no cracks, arping or fading and is in very nice condition. There is a beautiful Rosewood steering wheel installed. The center console looks great with aftermarket gauges and the woodgrain applique in place. There are front and rear seat belts present. The door and window hardware is completely functional and in good working order with very good window whiskers and weather stripping.

Engine Compartment:

The 302ci engine has the correct 3931286DZ Block but the VIN number is different. This makes me believe that it is a real DZ engine from a donor Z28 Camaro. I can’t document this but it also has the correct 3927186 302 DZ Heads, orrect 3932472 302 DZ Intake Manifold and correct 3941178 302 DZ crankshaft. It is a beast and starts and runs exceptionally well. The power of this 302ci engine is fully felt when you open up the huge secondaries of the Holley 4779 Double Pumper Carburetor, orcing you back into the seat as if you were taking off in a jet. A new K & N air cleaner filter has been installed on the Holley carburetor. To improve the engine ignition, n MSD 6A Ignition System was installed. There is a new fan shroud and aluminum radiator, ew plug wires and new hoses are present as well. Power steering and front disc brakes round out the build. With this ’69 Camaro, here are no messy engine leaks or annoying exhaust puffing sounds within this engine compartment and the overall look is clean and neat in appearance but could be freshened up.

Transmission: The transmission is a Borg Warner, luminum Case, -10 4-speed with the Hurst shifter and T-handle attached. There are no leaks or funny noises and transmission shifts up and down through the gears with no issues.

Rear Axle: The rear axle is an Eaton Posi unit with 3.73:1 gears. The unit does not growl, lunk or leak fluids while in operation.

Electrical: All exterior lights are in good working order to include the headlights, ail lights, unning lights, linkers and the plate light. All interior lights are also in good working order to include the dash lights, igh beam light, linkers and console gauge lights. The overhead light is working. The heater, adio and wipers are working but the horn is not. The fuel, emperature, lternator and oil pressure gauges are completely functional. The speedometer and 8,000rpm tachometer are working.

Trunk: The trunk is in very good condition having a new trunk mat installed but does not have the spare wheel or jack assembly.

Mechanical: The disc brakes work correctly but as they are not power assisted, ou need to add some foot power. The suspension is in good condition. The Camaro starts, hifts and drives down the road like it owns it.

Undercarriage: The undercarriage is very nice showing no signs of rust or rot. Look at the undercarriage photos which will display the undercarriage condition better than a description.
