Description of 1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

Barn Find !! 1973 split bumper Z28 Camaro. Originally a 245 HP 350 engine and a 4 speed transmission. The car now has a 305 engine with a turbo 350 automatic transmission. The clutch pedal is still in the car. I posted a picture of the Fischer Body Tag showing that it is a true Z28 unfortunately we don't have that motor. I looked under the seat for the build sheet to prove if its a true RS or not but it was not there. The car has all its pieces.....it does need a restoration but can be usable as is. The interior is taken apart and all the pieces are in the trunk including the chrome trim around the front and rear windshields. The window moldings are usable as is. The dash pad is cracked and warped but overall, thegaugesand plastic parts are all in good shape. There is no rot on this car except for the picture of the right rear quarter panel. Floor boards and trunk pan have no holes. Factory 10 bolt posi track rear end and traction bars. Limited slip differential.
I purchased this car from a storage facility. It had acarburetoron it when I first looked at it but 4 months later, when I finally picked up the car, it was missing. I do have a carburetor in the pics. I was able to start the car but that carb floods and was unable to run the car. The gas tank need to be flushed out and I am missing the water pump pulley which was also stolen. Because of this, I have not been able to run the vehicle for over 2 minutes. Needs a battery. The brakes work. I put a new ignition switch in it bc I had no keys. It has a tilt steering column and a really nice floor shifter. The bucket seats are not bolted in bc one of the seats need a new track.
The windshield is cracked but the other glass is in good shape. Tires and wheels are descent. I had one tire repaired which is why it is off the car in the pics. The right front fender is the only real damage to the front end. The hood and fenders are ready for final sanding and another coat of primer. Half the roof was sandblasted and primed down through the quarter panel to keep it from surface rusting. I have a good right hand corner for the spoiler in the trunk....missing the left. No head liner. The metal package tray is in excellent shape...no leaking/rust or rot around the rear window or tray. The windows roll up and down in the doors easily
I would have continued this restoration but due to health conditions, you now have the opportunity to take up from where I left off. It is an excellent candidate for restoration. The frame and chassis is rot free since it is a New Mexico car for most of its life.
Car is sold as is. Feel free to call or text me with any questions. Ernie 505-907-6283
