Description of 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 210

Up for sale is my 1955 Chevy 210 4-Door w/6 Cylinder 3 on the tree.
The good:The engine runs with no major problems
No shifting problems with the transmission
The steering components and suspension are in fine working order. Less than 1000 miles on new leaf springs.
All the indicators, headlights, Windshield wipers, gauges work (although the horn switch is not installed)
Replaced most of the steering column and replaced the sending unit this past winter which allowed me to get some pics underneath her while she was on the lift.
Tires have 90% tread left
Smooth stopping with no problems (brake job done about 500 miles ago)
Newly installed Speedometer (so it looks like she has less than 100 miles on her, when it is probably more like 200k)
I had a new glass installed (when I got her every piece of glass was cracked or broken out by the kid that was the previous owner)
I have an extra driver quality front grille
The bad:
Dash lights didn't work, so the headlight switch was jumpered.
Several small fluid leaks typical of a car this old.
The body has TONS of bondo & rust/rot spots, small dents & wrinkles. I tried to capture most of them with the pics. I think the 'eye brows' above the headlights are entirely bondo.
The paint looks like the Earl Schieb special. Sparkly, but painted over dirt & rust. (She is a 20-20 car. At 20 feet & 20 mph she looks nice)The front grille is dented & some of the trim chrome along the bottom is cracked
The driver side windshield wiper is actually one for the passenger side, but it was raining & I needed something to get her to the mechanic & that is what I had laying around.
The trunk does not have a gasket installed, so if it rains the contents of the trunk will get wet until that is fixed.Seat covers are eroding and separating, the front seat is so bad that the springs are exposed & if not for my blanket from Tijuana (which is pictured, but will not be included in the auction), it would pinch me every time I sat down. The head liner has been painted blue (probably to cover the discoloration) No carpet, and the overhead light is wired, but does not have a bulb installed and is sitting on the floor behind the driver seat.
The body side trunk lip has several bondo spots, and the lip on the lid is starting to rust a little and the trunk is a bit tricky to close. The recess for the spare tire has a few spots where you can see thru to the ground.
It is a bit of a hard cold start if she has been sitting for more than a week or two.
Almost all of the stainless trim has some small dings and would need to be straightened and polished. (but all of it appears to be there except the piece that covers the spot where the trim meets below the rear glass)
The front bumper is a hybrid. Normally you could get a single piece bumper or a three piece bumper. This one looks like somebody cut down a one piece bumper & used the 1/3 from the three piece bumper to finish it off.
She has a Nomad rear bumper (the back one had been torched thru and off when I got her) The front & rear bumpers should be re-chromed.
The fuzzy channel kit is only about half installed (looks like it is all there, just not stapled to the inner door pieces)
The door panels are shot, but should work as templates for what is needed.
I have keys for the gas cap, trunk and ignition switch, but none fit the doors.
No Radio.
The pictures are from last fall & she has been sitting out this winter/spring so she is a bit more dirty and at this point covered in pollen/dust.I have been starting her every couple of weeks & running her around the block, but she hasn't been at freeway speed in months.
So, in summary, this is a project. She runs, drives, turns & stops, but will need some attention to be a reliable daily driver.
I am sorry, but I don't need any trades right now. Selling as is with no warranty.
