Texas Classic Cars Of Dallas is proud to showcase this beautifully restored 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS.Originally, Chevrolet was going to use the A-body platform to compete with the Ford Fairlane and return their mid-size offering to the same size and scope of the successful 1955-57 models (their wheelbase was actually the exact same size). The Chevelle proved to be reliable and durable while being offered in many different variations. 1964 was the first model year and also the same year the “muscle car” era was beginning.
The GM A-body platform provided many legends of this era including the Chevelle as well as the Pontiac GTO, Oldsmobile 442, Buick GS, and more. In 1966 & 1967, the Chevelles were still in their 1st generation but their body went through a massive body styling redesign. The Chevelles in these two years were offered in different trim levels: 300, 300 Deluxe, and Malibu.Front to back this car screams quality.
Completely restored, very stock and highly original, very rare, True 138-Code 1967 Chevelle SS. Finished in correct Granada Gold with Black interior. It comes packing a very recently rebuilt big block 454 V8married to a 5 Speed Manual transmission. It has incredible power and torque, it shifts very nicely through each gear.Everything is all high performance, from solid lifters, to a mild cam, heads, rockers, 850 Holly Carburetor, aluminum manifold, Hooker Competition Headers, 3-inch exhaust w/ Flowmaster mufflers, high performance clutch, and more!
The subtle color combination doesn't scream performance car like you'd expect but it certainly moves like one. There are SS396 badges but the performance actually comes from a very potent 454 big block that makes nice moving power. It's also loaded with options like aftermarket A/C making it a car you can easily take on a road trip. It's very nicely restored with great sheet metal that really shows off the glowing gold paint to great effect. The clean looks of the '67 make it a favorite among Chevy fans and aside from a few badges this one looks pretty much the way it did rolling out of the showroom in 1967, good gaps a brilliant shine.
The Black interior is also the car's original upholstery color and once you see it in person you'll realize it's exactly the right choice. Fresh seat covers on the buckets new door panels, reproduction carpets and a taut headliner give it a very clean appearance and it'll be easy to show it off at local cruise nights.
The engine bay is very neatly finished with some chrome dress-up. Combined with the front disc brakes make this Chevelle a tidy handler too. Ceramic-coated long-tube headers feed a Flowmaster dual exhaust system and correct Rally wheels keep it looking stock. The undercarriage is also very clean and shows the workmanship that went into this ca, it has well over 25k worth of parts and labor just in the last two of years. All of that work was done by Sachse Rod Shop, very well known in the Dallas Fort Worth area. This Chevelle has been gone through and through to make sure everything is functioning as it should and it is a sure head turner. Don't miss your chance to own such a great car that will surely go up in value for years to come at a great price.
