Description of 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

ALIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT! If you've ever seen Dazed and Confused, this is the same make, model, year and color that Matthew McConaughey drives in the movie (not the actual car). A 1970 ChevroletChevelleSS, GM's finest production muscle car! This is a TRULY amazing car and even more amazing when your behind the wheel! This car turn heads and getsthumbs up everwhere I go. From the growl of the engine, to the clean body lines, this car catches your eye as it drives past you.
This car was born in Lordstown, Ohio and then made her way to the west coast to Eugene, Oregon in the late 1980's. It was brought it to Boise, Idaho where I bought it. The previous owner told me that his intentionswith the car were to turn it into a full cloned SS, but later decided to spend his money on other things. And it was then he decided to just sell the car because it was just sitting. I had the car shipped to move coveredand it has not seen a drop of rain since.
This 1970 ChevroletChevelleSS Clone is equipped with a freshly built small block 350 with 2500 miles on it and pushes about 375HP. It's equipped with a heavy cam, new holly 600 Carb covered by a K&N air filter,accel distributer and cap with new plug wires, chrome valve covers, chrome oil pan, custom headers with 3" exhaust on 44 Series Flowmasters, new aluminum flex fan, New Howe racing aluminum radiator newalternator, new power steering pump (requires no effort to turn the wheel!), all new powder coated control arms with new ball joints and bushings, all new Hotchiks Suspension all the way around the car. The carcould use new rear bushings. The transmission is a built Turbo 400 with a shift kit (I love that second gear, breaks the tires loose)!
The Interior is in GREAT Shape and is almost all original! It's like walking into 1970. The dash, carpet, seats and headliner are all original but the door panels, and steering wheel were replaced the the ss badgedparts in the 90's. The rear package tray is new and has brand new pioneer 6x9 speakers in the back with it. The stereo head unit is also brand new and is iPhone ready and has all kinds of cool features. I put brandnew white face guages that moniter the volt/meter, oil pressure and water temperature. The over all conditon of the interior is pretty good but please make no mistake its not perfect, its over 40 years old and isshowing wear is some spots. The doors panels are also showing some wear and the headliner has a couple very small tears.
I must emphasize that this car is not a show car so please don't expect a perfect conditioned car. Please understand that this car is great shape, but again, it is not perfect. If you are a professional, it will not be hardto spot the imperfections, but if you're not, please read this posting carefully and watch the videos and review the pictures.
The exterior is in tuxedo black with white rally stripes. This paint really shines and is in pretty good shape for a 20 year old paint job. It is cracking in some spots and as shown in the pictures. There is very little rust -a bit showing through on the bottom of some of the panels and the trunk lid is also showing some rust, but other than that, it's in great shape!!! Just driving down the road people think it has a fresh paint job. Theprevious owner painted the car over 20 years ago and shortly after, stored it for years. I think that is when the rust developed. The windshield is brand new and all the other glass is original and in great shape! Thewheels are aluminum weld racing 15's and the rears are 15 with an offset, wrapped in BF Goodrich's Radial TA's. All lights are in perfect working condition and all locks work as well. Everything works as it should!
This car is a blast!!! It runs amazing, sounds amazing,looks amazing and runs SOOO Strong! It would not take much to make this car a perfect true SS Clone or even a true daily driver! I have enjoyed this car somuch but now it's time to move on to something else! Over $32K invested in this car. I hope who ever wins this car enjoys it as much as I have, and hopefully much more.
