Description of 1966 Chevrolet Nova Coupe |
Up for auction is one of the nicest 1966 Novas I or you will ever see. That opinion comes from many, many years of inspecting these cars for purchase, attending car shows etc., and I have never found one as nice and solid as this car. The engine was changed out forpreservation, and the front suspension was replaced for added safety and handling. For those originality purists out there, the original L79 engine and front endcomponents are available if desired. The reserve on this vehicle is set for the car as it isconfigured and all the original components will be included with the sale. I will lower the reserve if a bidder just wants the car as is without the original engine and front end. This car has not been modified other than what is described above, and anything done has been strictly bolt-on. This rare 1966 L79 327 cu. in. 350HP non SS car can be returned back to original factory condition with minimal expense. This Nova is rust free and has all its original sheet metal, including the floor and trunk pans. The car's body panels are very straight and the gaps are excellent. All the original trim pieces are there as well. The original 4-speed transmission and 12 boltposi rear end with 3:55 gears are in the car. The car is painted in its original tropic turquoise color unique to 1966 Novas. The paint is excellent. The car presently has a very strong 383 cu. in. SBC stroker engine with a roller hydraulic cam, Eldebrock aluminum heads, intake, and carb. There are no overheating problems with the aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. The vehicle has a TCI front end with coil over suspension, rack & pinion steering,Wildwood front disc brakes, vintage air with a polished compressor, polished alternator, and Billet Specialties 18" wheels with Michelin Sport Pilot tires. The vehicle is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty, expressed, written, or implied. Bidders should thoroughly inspect the vehicle before bidding to satisfy themselves as to the condition and value. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000.00 via PayPal is required from a successful bidder within 48 hours of action close. The vehicle will not be released to buyer until thebalance of funds owed are fully secured and cleared into my banking account. No exceptions. Cash in person or certified bank cashier's check preferred. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and arrangements. I can assist if needed. Please serious inquires only.
