Description of 1966 Chevrolet Corvair

1966 Corvair Monza, 110 engine with automatic trans and factory air conditioning - needs compressor, but otherwise complete. Clean Texas car living in Maryland for the last few years. Tinted (soft ray) glass with no grind marks like most. Wire caps on recent tires with good tread. Rear antenna, aftermarket stereo. Excellent heater deluxe factory belts. Seats are better vinyl than factory, very soft and feel like leather, but in exact factory style.
Runs and drives great. I bought this car after it was sitting (garaged) with bad trans. I installed good trans and adjusted, rebuilt carbs and brakes. Has duel exhaust and does not smoke, stutter or cough, well tuned with Fireball ignition. I have been driving since spring, but have many Corvairs and will put cash into projects. Miles unknown as dash was changed by previous owner but shows around 2000 now. Clean underneath with no rust in wheel wells. I took her to great driver state, but wonderful candidate to take to the next level due to perfect floors and underside.
Driver quality shiny red paint over imperfect body prep - comes with touch up paint for the few chips. Tiny rust spot on drivers door and small ATF fluid leak due to needing new transmission cable - repro available from Clark's Corvair Parts - all parts available for these cars and many vendors. Common prob, easy fix. Bid with confidence if you want a Corvair to drive today and/or take to show car level later. No water leaks in cabin and everything works but the window washer, wipers work good. Thumbs up from everyone - gets lots of attention and praise. You will get used to expensive sports cars slowing down to take a look on the freeway. Low reserve. Clear title and can be driven away.
Won a runner-up people's choice plaque in car show this spring. Not concours car, but excellent foundation for one. Fun car. Happy to answer questions and can email pics on request.
Will work with your shipper. Not many this rust free on the east coast.
