Description of 1987 Chevrolet C-10

Hey Folks.
I am pleased and saddened at the same time to offer this very special pick-up. I have owned some nice vehicles in my 42 years, but I have to say I've never owned one that gets the attention this C-10 gets. My sons and I were very lucky to find this gem behind a nice gentleman's home in South Carolina. It wasn't for sale, but I was able to convince him to let her go. It has been a South Carolina truck it's whole life until now. The miles are just over 47,000 original. The Autocheck score is high with ZERO accidents, no negatives at all, and the report shows 44,800 miles in 2003. This fits with the story I got that the truck (body, undercarriage, carpet and dash pad) was restored in 2006 and has hardly been driven since. This is one of the straightest bodies you'll ever see. There is ZERO rust, rot, or filler. There isn't a dent, and the black finish is wet, deep and excellent quality. The bed looks like the only thing carried in it were feather pillows. The underside is clean as well with normal wear and most parts neatly painted to factory look. Behind the wheels and tires the wells look fresh and clean. You can see your reflection in the bottom of the cab which has been painted as well. It appears the cab and bed were lifted off for repaint. The engine bay is very clean, and has been professionally painted. The interior presents very well with minor wear, and has new carpet and dash pad. All gauges and dash lights work. The interior lights come on with the turning of the lights knob. Air conditioning has been neatly added but doesn't blow cold. I will be working to get this going this week. If I can't, I will credit the buyer $300. The radio is a common one with cassette. You won't listen to it anyway because the truck sounds too good. The exhaust is true dual with two Flowmaster style mufflers finished off with high quality 24'' chrome tips. All glass is good minus a BB hole in the front windshield. It will be replaced this week. The bumpers and exterior mirrors present well, but show signs of age. All other trim is excellent. Wheels and tires are excellent. There is minor surface rust on a few of the lug nuts. The truck runs wonderfully and how a 47,000 mile truck should. It's powered by the TBI 305 coupled with a very rare four speed manual (3speed w/OD). When was the last time you saw that in a 2WD C-10? It's a joy to drive. I can see this one sitting in a Chevy dealership showroom, and I'll say it's too nice to drive every day. Do what you want with it though as it will be yours. I will warn you, you will get a lot of attention. Some comments I've heard are "It's the nicest I've seen" and "You've got a unicorn here" among many others. Most folks jaws drop when they see the floor shifter. This is a very nice '87 that will be the talk of your local cruise-in.
Thank you very much for your attention and good luck.
-Bill
