BIG BLOCK LExterior Color: RedInterior Color: BlackTitle: Clear DESCRIPTION IN A NUT SHELL: This Chevelle is a Super Sport Replica like most you see. its a Malibu. Its power by a 396 big block engine. connected with a 4 speed manual transmission and a 10 bolt rear-end. The regal red paint is nice with no dents or dings and I consider the body straight to look down the sides. The door jambs and under sides have been painted slick. the F code on the car says it was originaly Marina blue. its like lots and been painted red in old days past. I consider the paint good! The black interior looks good with bucket seats and consol that has been added. The chrome is good. the windshield new and the windows roll up and down good. The lights work. the gauges are in a pod. the speedometer works. the gas gauge works. Radio delected and no heater box. The suspention has some up grades. a 4 link rear set up with sway bar and a larger front sway bar. The car is originaly from Alabama and some guys don't worry about a heater. I would add heater and air conditioning if I kept the car for ever. The floors look original to me. they are not covered with under coating so you can see everything. I consider the paint nice on a good body. If you have real interest I have lots of pictures if you scroll down and my description will get into more detail. This is not a new car. its no $100. 00 show queen to roll out of the trailer. but its a real nice driver that looks good and it has a big block and a 4 speed. VIN: 136176A192990 When I looked at a decoder. it indiacated that is is a 8 cycliner. 2 door sport coupe that was built in Atlanta. Georgia. I have put a picture of the VIN plate and the cowl tag. please decode them if it matters to you. MILES: 26872 reading today and I'm sure you can add another 100. 00. Miles are exempt on old cars and many things have been replaced and changed so its not a factor to me unless I was buying a high dollar car for big money. HISTORY: This is what I think! The car was built in Atlanta. Georgia. It lived in Alabama for many year (my title does say previous state Alabama). it was sold to a man that lives near Chattanooga. Tennessee. He spent tons of money on the car. things like paint. new gas tank. interior. He got it driving. but didn't finish things. I bought the car and fixed lots of stuff. like. turn signals. gas gauge. speedometer ( guys have problem with electrical). I fixed stuff and buffed the car and have it for re-sell. TITLE: Clear Tennesee title in hand with a VIN that matches the plate on the door. The title states year 1966. make Chev. Model 136. Body type 4D. Previous state Alabama. I just have a garage here at my home. but I have dealers license to keep it legal. You pay no fees. no tax unless you live in Tennessee. Title will be transfered from me as a dealer. I am bonded and licensed. The title does have one typo/mistake. it stated 4D. This is no problem for me. but if it is for you. please don't consider buying the car. HAS THE CAR EVER BEEN IN A ACCIDENT? I do not see any signs of a bad accident. The frame looks straight to me and the sheet metal original. The title states nothing. its suppose to by law. DO YOU SEE ANY RUST? The body has no big rust bubbles that I see. the under side looks very solid to me. I think the floors are original to the car. they are not cover with thick under coating so you can see what your getting. The frame has some rusty color and a little crust on the floor. but I consider it real good. Some rattle can under coating would be nice. but if I do guys think I'm covering things up. If I was going to keep the car for ever I would clean the underside and give it a very light coating. I see no problems with the frame. one of the quarter inside drop downs looks like it has been repaired. I consider this a very solid car. the car was painted when I bought it so I can't say for sure a a dent or rust bubble has been repaired. HOW IS THE PAINT? I consider it nice upper end driver quality. The body is straight when you look down the sides and the paint shines good. The paint color is regal red. the car was originally blue. The hood under side. trunk under side and all lips have been painted. No dents and no dings. a few touched up chips. The hood is a little darker than the body. look at the pictures. its not bad. but it is a little. HOW IS THE CHROME: Bumpers look new. grill and trunk inserts great. side emblems good. front SS in grill pitted. door handles good. The windshield trim and back window trim have some small dings due to trim taken off to paint. My pictures show the back trim not fitting good. it had the wrong clips. it now has the correct clips. look at the lower close of pictures showing it fixed. HOW IS THE GLASS: New windshield. side windows roll up and down good. back window has minor markes. HOW IS THE WEATHER STRIPPING/RUBBER? It all looks good to me. HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its a big block. suppose to be a 396. the casting numbers on the back top of the block are 3969854. by the chart I looked at it is a 1969 to a 1972 396 or 402. It has no knocks and no rattles. it see no blue smoke. Its suppose to have been rebuilt. but I have no documentation. It has a new Holley 4 barrell and is very clean. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? It seems very good to me. it does not jump out of any gears. I hear no bad nosise. the clutch seem good (no chatter or slip). The shifter is loose. but very usable: by loose I mean you have to feel for the gears. most of you guys know what I mean. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? I consider it good. the headliner looks new and installed good. door panels good. carpet good. dash pad good with a couple of super minor scuffs. the seat covers show no wear. no consol lock. the inserts in them are not original material. The consol is usable. but has some pits and scuff. it old like me. This was probally a bench seat non consold car and been converted in years past. I put a new steering wheel on at a cost of about $300. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? It drives OK. past owner said the power steering gear was new. the riding height of the car looks a little higher than factory. I'm not of big fan of chaining factory stuff. The car drive fine to me> HOW ARE THE BRAKES? The front brakes are disc and the rear drums and it has a power booster. I think the brakes stop fine. I have a parking brake cable ordered that will be put on the car. I thought it was working. but is was stuck. WIPERS WORK! HORN WORKS! GAS GAUGE WORKS! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GAUGES ARE IN A POD UNDER THE DASH. THIS IS OLD SCHOOL. RADIO DETETE. THE DASH IS NOT CUT. NO HEATER BOX. I guess it got junky and the guy in Alabama took it out. If I lived way down south or way up north I would put a AC/Heater system in. REAR-END? Its a 10 blot with a good highway gearing. no grinding that I hear. A 4 link setup has been added and a rear sway bar. DO THE LIGHTS WORK? Head lights work. tail lights work. brake lights work. turn signals work. WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Here in Athens.
