American trucks have built a well-deserved reputation for being tough, virtually unbreakable workhorses. Through solid engineering and fresh innovation, Chevy trucks have been a dominant force in the world's largest automotive markets for close to 70 years. With that in mind, demand for classic trucks has never been hotter. And that means, after a lifetime of dedicated service, more and more of these gladiators are being retired to dry garages and leisurely show fields. One such stalwart is this slick Cheyenne stepside. The beneficiary of a comprehensive, frame-up restoration, this awesome C10 wraps a dressed small block and clean Houndstooth upholstery in many well-thought modifications that make it a perfect candidate for miles of parade and years of display. If you're in the market for a standout classic, settle in and take a closer look at this sweet pickup!

BODYWORK/TRIM

As far as styling goes, few vehicles have aged better than late '60s and early '70s Chevrolets. In fact, toeing the line between rock-solid and refined, the Action Line C/K is probably one of the most attractive trucks ever built. This C10, sporting mostly original sheetmetal, benefitted from a detailed, frame-up restoration which subjected striking Omaha Orange 2-stage to hours of thorough buffing and careful color-sanding. At the front of the truck, a stainless-trimmed 'egg crate' grille hangs a familiar blue bowtie between a polished bumper, amber parking lamps and bright halogen headlights. At the sides of that grille, a wet looking profile centers chrome door handles, traditional mirrors and a locking fuel filler between vivid "CHEYENNE 10 SUPER" emblems, memorable "8 350" badging and textured marker lamps. At the top of that profile, new chrome and fresh weather stripping seal tinted glass behind polished wipers. At the center of the truck, fresh stainless skid strips secure satin Oak bed planks. And at the back of those planks, a stamped tailgate stretches a vintage "Chevrolet" script between sleeved chains, machined plugs, traditional taillights and a second polished bumper.

ENGINE

Pop the hood and you'll find a reliable, 350 cubic inch Chevrolet small block that's been polished, rebuilt and fitted with a mild performance cam. Revs are created when a "CHEVROLET" branded air cleaner floats wind in to an aluminum Edelbrock intake, by way of a coated Holley carburetor. At the perimeter of that intake, polished valve covers hang a polished breather over cast GM exhaust manifolds. Behind that breather, a translucent distributor shoots spark through AC Delco Premium Silicone Wires. At the front of those wires, traditional V-belts spin fluid power steering beneath a rebuilt alternator and modern AC compressor. And in front of those ancillaries, a beefy aluminum radiator keeps everything cool, calm and logging miles. Despite being a thoroughly massaged piece, the Chevy Orange mill looks right at home in the truck's spotless engine compartment. And details like Painless Wiring and a Classic Performance Products brake system ensure this C10 runs every bit as good as it looks.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Slide under this rig and you'll find a solid factory undercarriage that's clean and ready to roll. The floors wear quality undercoating, which blends right in with the truck's Satin Black chassis. At the center of that skeleton, a chrome-trimmed Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed funnels torque through a 12-bolt axle that's fitted with big, 3.73 gears. Modern power steering makes quick work of turns while CPP discs and GM drums bring everything to a halt. The aforementioned manifolds dump spent gases in to aluminized pipes, which employ throaty turbo mufflers. And everything rolls on late-model Chevrolet Rallies, which, in addition to being sandblasted, painted and cleared, are finished with NOS trim rings, original center caps and 255/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As.

INTERIOR

Swivel this cool Chevy's doors you'll find an awesome Black Houndstooth interior. A wide bench seat stretches a requisite combination of cloth and vinyl under factory lap belts. In front of that seat, a wood-trimmed dash hangs factory-spec telemetry, complete with a tachometer, behind cool air conditioning and correct Delco audio. Beneath that dash, fade-free carpet bridges the gap between familiar bowtie sills and stainless-trimmed foot pedals. At the sides of that carpet, original door panels, walnut shell-blasted and fully re-dyed, anchor fade-free wood applique under chrome door handles and chrome window cranks. And in front of the driver, a Corvette-style steering wheel laps a modern, tilting column.

The classic truck market has never been better, and offerings like this brilliant C10 are a perfect testament why. With a reliable, well-dressed drivetrain, a comfortable interior and clean, factory lines, this Chevy is guaranteed to gain fans everywhere it goes. Looking for a standout cruiser that'll provide years of great memories? Don't miss the chance to add this sweet Cheyenne to your collection!
