Up for sale we have a 1962 Chevy Impala SS. In '62 Chevy made a lot of Changes to the Impala with a new look all around. The one we are offering may be one of the nicest one you will see. It's done in the factory Black and Gold paint and interior schemes that is absolutely gorgeous. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. We will start off with the exterior of the Impala. When you look down the sides of the SS it's laser straight. The fit of the panels are as good if better than when new. As we said it's covered in the factory Tuxedo Black color scheme that has a deep rich shine and is slick to the touch. The bumpers and stainless all look new. All the weather stripping is new along with the window seals. All the glass is in very good condition. The final exterior touch is the custom set of Billet Specialties to show off the Four Wheel Disc Brakes.
Next we will take a look at the interior of the SS. It is done in the factory Gold color scheme that is an awesome complement to the exterior. The seats are the factory buckets with the mini console. This is a factory column shift car with everything looking correct down to the door panels and carpet. All the stainless looks very good along with the instrument panel. It has the factory radio and as far as we can tell everything works in this car.
Finally, we will take at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it's powered by a 327 V8 that is mated to the Power Glide Trans. The engine looks like it did in '62 with the correct breather and trim. It's stock down to the manifolds and dual exhaust. Also, it has Power Steering. The brakes have been upgraded to Four Wheel Power Disc. When you look under this Impala you will see that it's extremely solid with no visible signs of rot or damage.
