CALIFORNIA BARN FIND - 1949 CHEVROLET 3600 FLAT BED PROJECT - RUST FREE - ROCK SOILD TRUCK We just picked up this amazing 1949 Chevrolet 3600 3/4 ton flat bed truck that is in amazing original condition. This has to be one of the cleanest, most solid old trucks we have seen in a very long time. It is rust free and every panel is solid and straight. The interior is in great shape and original. Nothing has been cut, changed or modified. It evens has the push button starter on the floor. This would be a great truck for a Micro Brewery, Winery or for any business. I included a picture of how we envision the truck looking if we were to build it for someone. Drop in a LS motor or crate 350 and automatic transmission and you have one great truck. The truck is an all original, matching numbers truck with a 235 inline six cylinder motor and four speed manual transmission. The previous owner had done a lot of work to the engine and then ran it on the highway at 75 MPH plus which caused it to throw a piston through the block. It will need a new engine, but since this is a project, you would want to replace it anyways. If you wanted to just get it running, you can find a replacement 235 for a couple of hundred dollars. Aside from the engine, everything else is in good working order. If you wanted to have the truck completed, we would be happy to discuss some options. Please contact us with your budget.
