Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro

This car belonged to my mentor. He showed me everythingabout cars. The older guys were nice to me because I was a good youngbmxer. They coached me from childhood to manhood on these old cars. I have bought 3 of my mentors cars. This one had been in hiscollection for 25 years. The 396 engine was built by Carl Stirtz who just retired after 40 years of race engine building. The engine has 450 horses, It is coupled to a Borg Warner super T-10 trans that shifts great. After I bought the car we turned it on to one of our best customers. It was just too much for him. The power that comes from this engine is not to be underestimated. My partner had to buy it back and now he has hoarded it for 5 years. The rear end is a 10 boltthat some how has stayed together all these years. The car has just a couple thousand miles on it since myfriend built it. There is an all steel Z-28 hood, RS headlights, and a SS spoiler. It is a Hotrod Camaro with no numbers matching anything. My mentor painstakingly sourced all NOS windshield and rear window chrome trim. It hasbeen sitting waiting forpaint 20 years. The rear spoiler has been filling up with water and ruined the trunk lid. The starter is giving us trouble right now and needs replacing. Weare up to 22 cars for 2 guys and this one may or may not go. Its been with usfor 3 decades, whats a couple more years? The rear seats are missing and the interior needs quite a bit. If its not foryou thats fine, thanks for lookingand good luck hunting down the carof your dreams, rus and dan.
