Description for Chevrolet Impala 1962

DON'T BUY THIS CAR! If you can't stand being complemented on your sweet ride. don't like total strangers waving at you like giddy school children. or hate talking to folks whose mother's brother's wife's dad's uncle took them to the ice cream shop during the Summer of Love in a car "just like this!". then please DON'T BUY THIS CAR! BUT. if you want attention. crave attention. have to be the center of attention. and LOVE the complements. the waves. and the "I remember" conversations. THIS IS YOUR NEXT RIDE!THIS Classy 1962 Chevrolet Impala 2-door Hardtop Sport Coupe says SUMMER! It's cold now. but I'm tellin' you. THIS is the car you want to be seen in as you cruise A1A to the Keys or Pacific Coast Highway to Monterey! This baby will provide the ride to the Jersey Shore where you can work on that prize-winning Left Arm Tan! Take this TIME MACHINE to Canaveral and watch the latest launch. just like all the other Chevy Impala owners who parked in the sand to watch Neil. Michael. and Buzz rocket to the moon in July 1969! TRANSPORT yourself and your friends to the DRIVE IN (there's room in the trunk for more!) and catch Hollywood's latest in the vintage sound of the original monaural push button radio! But if you're like Joe Friday. you want The Facts. Well. here you go: I'm the second owner of this Classy 1962 Chevrolet Impala. and I'm offering it for sale to the public for the first time. The car has been in my wife's family since new. and was acquired by me on the passing of her uncle Joe. the original owner. Produced at the St. Louis factory. this car was delivered to Wichita. KS. where it has spent its entire life. always garaged and professionally maintained by Uncle Joe. a dedicated non-smoker. This is a 2-door Hardtop Sport Coupe in Ermine White with a pristine original Fawn Cloth and Vinyl interior. The car is equipped with a 250 HP Turbo-Fire 327. nbsp;4-barrel Carburetor. Dual Exhaust. nbsp;Powerglide 2-speed Automatic Transmission. Factory Deluxe Air Conditioning w/ Heater. Tinted Glass. nbsp;Electric Two-Speed Wipers w/ Washers. Padded Dash. and Push-Button Radio. At 100. 00 miles. the engine was rebuilt and the exterior repainted the correct Ermine White. Side trim. rear trim panel. and grille were replaced at the same time. Updates are limited to the retrofitting of an alternator in place of the original generator. and the addition of an aftermarket horn. All of this work was done at the direction of Uncle Joe. Since that work was done. and while still owned by Uncle Joe. the vehicle sustained minor rock damage to the grille and leading edge of the hood. and the AC compressor seized. The engine starts quickly. runs quietly. doesn't smoke or leak. the transmission functions smoothly. and "there aren't enough o's in smooooooooth" to describe the ride. This reliable car can be driven anywhere on the North American continent. you know. like Key West. Monterey. Atlantic City. or Canaveral. This car is being offered as is. with no warranties either expressed or implied. The successful bidder will provide a refundable deposit of $2. 00. 00 within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Buyer assumes all responsibility for transportation and/or delivery of the vehicle upon payment of the deposit. The balance will be due within 7 calendar days of the end of the auction. by which time the buyer must also have arranged for transportation and/or delivery of the vehicle and communicated the particulars to the seller. If the buyer fails to provide the balance within the time allotted. the deposit will be refunded. and the sale will be cancelled. Upon payment of all monies due. the seller will complete the title for transfer. The title will either be sent to the buyer via registered mail. return receipt requested. once the vehicle has left the storage facility. or delivered in person to the buyer should he/she pick up the vehicle in person.
