Description of 1959 Chevrolet Impala Biscayne

I'm helping out one of my friends to clear out some of his projects, he's had this 1959 Chevrolet Biscayne More-Door for a few years and has been working on it off and on. There is a lot of work left to do, but a bunch of the hard work and upgrades have already been done. The car was complete and did run and drive, (barely) when we went and picked it up, but it has been disassembled and the restomod process has been started. The car was a six-cylinder car, equipped with a Powerglide. It's a very solid start for someone to finish the restomod project and have a sweet cruiser when it's done.
The chassis has been stripped down, media blasted, powder coated and has had the suspension rebuilt. It has had an Air Ride kit installed as well as new shocks on all four corners. A four-wheel disc brake kit has also been installed to provide plenty of stopping power. The rear end was also stripped and powder coated, then rebuilt. Gearing is set-up for an overdrive transmission, as the plans were for an LS motor and an overdrive trans. Chassis and body are separate, but the body can be set on the chassis to transport it.
The body is reasonably straight and has also been media blasted and sprayed with primer. Most of the rust areas have been fixed, with metal panels, it has not been smeared with filler. Look at the photos, the care is bare, there is no filler or bondo hiding under paint, you can see what you'll get. There are still a couple small areas that need attention, which I tried to show in the photos. The trunk pan has been repaired, again with metal panels. The rusty floor pans have also been replaced and repaired as have the frame mounts underneath. I'm not going to drop the usual eBay phrase, "ready for paint" as it is not, but much of the hard work has been done.
The doors, hood, trunk, inner fenders, radiator core support are all media blasted and will come with the car, although they are not shown in the photos. All of the glass is included with the car, although the windshield will need replaced as it is cracked. The trim and bumpers are in storage in the attic of the garage, so I didn't get photos of them. The trim and chrome pieces are in decent condition, but again, it will need some restoration work. Bumpers are OK, but will need re-chromed and some attention to make them smooth for chrome. He does have the seats for the car, but they will need some restoration and attention, as in upholstery, foam and clean-up. There is no engine or transmission included, the powertrain is all up to the new owner, install what you like.
Again, this is definitely a project, but you're going to have the classic lines of the 1959 Chevrolet when you're done. As I said, it isn't my car, but belongs to a friend who has helped me with many of my car projects over the years and I've seen the car from where it started to where it's at now. If you have any questions about the car, please drop me an email and I'll get you in touch with the owner, who can tell you just about anything you'd need to know about the Biscayne. The owner will be willing to help you get the car loaded up for transport as well.
A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $250 will be due at the time of purchase, the remaining balance can be paid by cashier's check (must clear my bank before truck is picked-up), wire transfer, cash if you are picking it up in person or Paypal. Balance must be paid within 72 hours and vehicle must be picked up within 30 days. Transportation arrangements and the cost of transport are the BUYERS responsibility. This is a project vehicle, it needs work, it is not mint, perfect or mechanically flawless and is sold as is, no warranty. Thanks for looking and good luck!
