Description of 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SUPER SPORT

1970 CHEVELLE SUPER SPORT
This car has a super solid body the only spots are the bottom corner of the drivers door (a loose drivers door is included which is in good shape). Also the floor under the drivers rear seat has some rust. The floors are in very good shape other than were someone had drilled holes to mount bucket seats. Also you can see where the trans hump was replaced for an automatic. The pass. rear quarter has a very small patch ( about the size of a golf ball, you can see this from inside the trunk if you look hard enough. The car has been sitting for the past 16 years. Previous owner started working on it and quit. He put in new carpet, seat covers, (the loose door panels are new also but as you can see the chrome is coming off one of panels), console base. The arm rest pads and bases are new also and in plastic. The dash is pretty nice except someone put a hole in it for a gauge. Also it has a factory tach but they are white. The dash pad is in real good shape with no cracks. Windshield is new as well as the front and rear bumpers. The front bumper does have some rust starting but the back is good.
Is the car a real SS?- here what it has- F41 front and rear sway bars-boxed lower control arms-disc brakes-4 speed pedals-no malibu trim holes-Big block steering shaft-correct proportioning valve-rear hold off valve-AND THE FAMOUS L on the trim tag of Kansas built cars-return fuel line indicating bigblock with hyd lifters-
The engine and trans according to the previous owner was taken out of a old RV in running condition and installed in the car. It has not been started since taken out of the rv. 16years ago. I would consider it a core. Missing is the driveshaft. Wheels are GM 14 inch.
Again this is a very solid project of a real SS. I will be adding a video of the car shortly.
NOTE----- NOTE---- NOTE---- NOTE----
I bought this car for the hood. It is NOS. You will receive the orange hood hanging on the wall. (see pic I was saving it for a future project) It is a GM hood. Again you get the orange hood.
---Also NOTE---
I will be extremely busy from NOV 4th to Nov the 11th. You will not be able to pick the car up between those dates. Therefor I will deduct $300 from the price if you can pick up the car and pay for it in full (cash) by Nov 3rd.
I reserve the right to stop auction at anytime. Open Ill. title in hand. Please call with questions 765 206 0350. delivery maybe available at a $1.00 a mile up to 200 miles. However the closer it gets to the 3rd the harder it will be for me to get away.
I may consider lesser offers especially if you are going to pick up and pay prior to Nov 3rd.
PERSONAL GUARANTEE
If you inspect the car at my home and you are not satisfied for any reason you are not required to purchase the car but you will forfeit a $50 deposit. This means I will give you $50 toward your gas if you chose to pass. However this is not an invitation to inspect the car and renegotiate the selling price. You are risking $50 and a trip to beautiful northern Indiana in the colorful fall.
Also note rally wheel does not go I will have a tire put on the SS rim that will hold air b4 pickup.
I believe this car is a bargain at 15900. take a look at ebay item number
282226011965 it brought 10100 and it needs about every panel on the car replaced.
Thanks for the questions-the car didn't originally have the cowl induction hood just the standard SS hood, because the core support is not drilled and there is no switch above the pedal. 10-26-16
I will try to post answers to questions for all to see with the date thanks
