Description of 1970 Chevrolet C-10

1970 Chevrolet C10 Custom Half Ton 2WD Longbox LWB This is a very solid truck originally sold new in Montana and used primarily as a “town pickup” so it was kept looking its best. I purchased the truck from the second owner that I’ve known since he purchased the truck 20 years ago. He maintained it very well over the years and I have documentation including receipts and history. The odometer reads 34. 45 which I assume is 134. 45 miles. The truck drives well with plenty of power. crisp shifts. tight power steering and power brakes. This truck has never been wrecked and has no rust although there is a small bubble in the paint in the lower corner of the driver door. It has had one re-paint over 20 years ago but still shines up well with nothing to hide as far as patch panels or hidden body work. This is the fancier custom model with the additional trim and moldings available in 1970. I believe this truck originally was two-tone but when it was repainted they decided to go all white. It has been driven over the years so there are some paint chips and what I would consider driver quality finish. The bed has been treated to a color matching spray-in bedliner. The truck is sporting new wide black lower trim moldings as well as tailgate trim and taillight bezels. Under the hood now has a 383 stroker small block and has been nicely detailed. It has an Edelbrock intake and carburetor as well as HEI ignition. Doug Thorley headers and dual exhaust with glass packed mufflers and slashcut tips out the back sing a pleasant exhaust note. The TH350 automatic transmission and facotry 12 bolt posi rear axle put the power to the ground. I have to admit even though I am a Chevrolet enthusiast. I wasn't that excited about 383 strokers. but after driving this truck I am now a fan!The interior looks great with new seat uphostery. carpet. sill plates and instrument bezel. The gauge needles are not faded and appear nice and orange as they should. The dash remains uncut so a dual post cassette player is present along with a pair of 6x9 speakers installed in the doors. The windshield should be replaced but they are relatively inexpensive and easy to replace. The weather stripping was recently replaced and a fuel cell was installed under the bed eliminating the fuel tank and smell from behind the seat. For added safety. shoulder strap seat belts have also been installed. These trucks have always been desirable and are only becoming more collectible. They are difficult to find in this condition. and with the recently new springs and steering components installed this one drives as nice as it looks. This truck would be an excellent candidate to add your personalized touches or just drive and enjoy it the way it is. The fine print: If you do not have at least 10 positive feedbacks. please do not bid without contacting me first or your bid will be canceled or blocked. Washington to where you are. Please use a quality shipping transit. I put a lot of effort into cleaning this truck and I would like to have a very pleased new owner. If you have any questions. please e-mail me before bidding and I will do everything I can to answer your questions. The reserve price is set at a VERY reasonable level and should easily be reached during the auction. The truck will NOT be sold outside of the auction. so please don't ask for a "buy it now". In the event that the reserve is un-met. I will entertain offers. but I am confident that it will be reached and perhaps go far beyond. Please do contact me with any and all questions BEFORE bidding. The truck is sold as-is with no warrantyThank you for your interest!!
