Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Bel Air

Up for sale is my 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 Dr Post. The car has been painted with a dark red metallic paint and the interior has been replaced with an original interior kit to include: seat covers, door panels, package tray, kick panels with speakers built in, black original loop carpet and pad, and white headliner with new black windlace around the doors. The package tray has been replaced and has two 6 x 9 speakers in it. The door seals have been replaced and do not leak. The glass is all good and does not have the typical signs of aging around the edges. When I bought the car I replaced the gas tank & sending unit, installed a new gas line from back to front, and a new fuel pump and inline filter. I then installed headers, new thrush mufflers and tailpipes (SOUNDS MEAN!!!!). I did a tune up with new plugs, points & condenser, rotor bug and distributer cap along with new header style sparkplug wires. All four original hub caps are in the trunk. The tires arelike new4ply nylon whitewall tires like what came on the car originally. They areP225 X 75B14s. I installed a new radio with CD playerwithhands freeblue tooth capabilities.
I do not want or need any trades. I am selling thiscarin orderto finish the project that I am currently working on. The car runs great and drives like a typical 1957 with no power steering or power brakes. It also has no air conditioner, just roll the windows down turn the vent windows in and enjoy the weather! When I bought the car I asked the gentleman if he would feel safe telling me that I would be able to drive it the 600 plus mileshome and he said no, because it was having a problem with the gas line. I would now say "No problem" drive it anywhere. I have been enjoying driving the car for a few months now, but it is time for it to find a new home. This would make an excellent Christmass present for a "Worthy" husband or a good father - son project car that can be driven while working on it together.
The paint has a few chips and scratches here and there but over it still shines well and all of the trim is on the car. The bumpers will need to be replaced because they are rusted through in a couple of spots.. This is the only rust that I have found on this car. The front turn signal bar on the grill will need to be replaced because it is broken on one edge. I have added photos of every bad spot that I am aware of. I have searched the car over and have found O rust! The underneath of the car has been rubber coated and that has preserved the car.
I have tried to be thorough in my description. I have given you the good and the bad. The good far outweighs the bad. This is a very solid, rust free body and one of the best starter tri 5s that I have ever owned and I have had several. If you don't mind the power steering being all the power you can muster up in your arms and the air conditioner being a 4 - 70 (4 windows down at 70MPH) you will love this car. It turns heads every where I go. I always get thumbs up and everyone loves the car. The color is one that you don't see very often and it does remind you of what a 57 is supposed to look like. With a little time and effort you can easily add another ten thousand to your purchase price in the value of the car. I just don't have the extra time like I thought that I would. Age is catching up with me and I don't see being able to finish this car the way it deserves to be done.
My loss is going to be someone's gain. That said, I know exactly what the car is worth and I will not accept any low- ball offers like Richard Rawlings might throw at me. I have set the reserve low enough to make this an interesting auction but I will not take less that the car is worth. If it doesn't meet the reserve - well, I guess that it's the next one in line to fully restore. Don't ask what the reserve, know that it is below the value of the car& I don't want to give anyone an unfair advantage over anyone else.
The car is being sold "As is with no warranty". I will be happy to assist anyone you choose to inspect the car and drive it for you, or Ican meet you at the OKC airport andallow you toinspect the car for yourself before paying for it. All sales are final and there will be a $1,000. depositVIA Pay Pal within 24 hrs of the close of the auction. The remainder of the balance will be paid via cashiers check, money order, bank transfer, or cash. (Yes I do accept cash) within 7 days of the auction's close. I don't need the car to be picked up immediately and can park it under my cover for an agreed upon time period.
Shipping and transportation are the responsibility of the buyer, however I will assist the transport operator in the loading and logistics of the vehicle on my end.
