Offered here is a clean and awesome 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Super Sport 2-Door Notchback Coupe. The Monte Carlo SS came into production as a direct result of Chevrolet's desire to win in NASCAR. After much testing and wind tunnel results, the new Monte Carlo SS was born. The fourth generation Monte Carlo ran from 1981 to 1988 and in 1986, there were 41,164 Super Sports produced with a base price of $12,466.
This example is originally from Florida and came to Michigan in 2000. The car is finished in the original factory white with a recent professional paint job over the original burgundy cloth interior. Since 2000, a laundry list of new parts have been added or upgraded, including a new heater core, new radiator hoses, new water pump, new catalytic converter, rebuilt carburetor, new speedometer cable, new fuel pump, replaced power lock switches, new AC compressor, new engine seals, new intake and valve cover gasket, new windshield, new power steering pump and hose, new sway bar links, and new muffler and hose. The engine and transmission were rebuilt at 65,000 miles. The car currently has 77,700 miles.
