Owner's Manual SELLER REMARKS This 1969 Chevy C10 pickup is the kind of vehicle that gets attention without being obvious about it. Maybe it's the long bed. or maybe it's the fact that it's lowered and wearing a well-done classic red paint job. but either way it doesn't resort to gimmicks to catch the eye. If you like your hardware simple and your look timeless. this is the truck you should be driving. Admit it. you're digging how this truck looks. aren't you? Is it the red paint? Maybe. but only because it lets the rest of the classic sheetmetal. including the sleek styleside bed do the talking. With the lowered stance. you can see the graceful curve that stretches from the nose to the back of the cab. and the canted front end looks fast. not utilitarian and truck-like. Finish work is quite good. with even gaps and a smooth surface for the red paint to cling to. The unadorned flanks give it a simple. monochromatic look that might have been shaved if this was a full-blown custom. but I suspect that's just how it came from the factory. Tinted windows and a small peep mirror help with that clean look. For protection. there's a spray-in bedliner so you can still use this hauler as a truck. and the chrome bumpers and grille remain in very good overall condition. The whole truck just looks right. The new black and red interior is the ideal complement to the bodywork. and like the exterior. there's high quality workmanship everywhere you look. Pleated seat covers and factory-style door panels give this truck an upscale feel inside. and it's been optioned up with all the goodies: brand new Vintage Air A/C. a fat Grant leather-wrapped steering wheel. and a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo that's hidden under the seat and controlled with a remote built into the dash. How cool is that? The original dash has been painted a charcoal gray to neatly bridge the two and continue the monochromatic look. with additions like a column-mounted tach and temperature gauge down low. The gauges are still some of the most attractive dials ever fitted to a vehicle of any time. and they're joined by a set of Auto Meter temperature and oil pressure gauges under the dash. A removable center console adds practicality without really altering the interior and the floors are protected by a set of heavy-duty mats. A great-running 350 Chevy crate motor under the hood gives this truck performance to match its looks. Edelbrock supplied the air cleaner and valve covers. as well as the 4-barrel carburetor and matching intake manifold. It dumps the exhaust through a set of Hooker ceramic-coated long-tube headers and Flowmaster mufflers that sound exactly right for the truck's personality. The engine bay is quite clean with lots of polished aluminum and recent parts like the power brake booster and dual master cylinder. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission powers a 12-bolt rear end with 3. 73s and a Posi inside. so it has the moves of a muscle car. not a vintage pickup. The lowered suspension actually rides quite nicely. offering a slightly sportier attitude without giving up truck-like carrying capacity. Shiny Centerline wheels are stuffed inside a set of 275/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials for a street rod look that suits this truck perfectly. If you like the clean. chiseled look. this C10 will knock you out with its perfectly simple combination.
