Now for the bad, here are the things that either do not function or do not function properly:

  • Glow Plugs: In 1989 the glow plugs were supposed to be automatic but for whatever reason I can't seem to get these to work, I believe it's due to the sensor on the side of the block. There is a manual glow plug switch like you'd see on a loader or bobcat which works flawlessly. Hold for ten seconds& the truck starts right up every time. Sometimes they kick on like they should but lately I've been manually controlling them.
  • Parking Brake: The parking brake shoes & springs are new & connected to the wheels, however, the pedal is not hooked up to the cables.
  • Rear A/C: The rear air conditioning fan works but does not seem to get as cold as the front.
  • Windshield Wipers: One of only two things that completely doesn't work on this truck, the windshield wipers, haven't looked into why, but, I have the windshield treated with Rain-X so its not much of a problem to look past the rain or snow even when it's heavy.

This is a great truck, mosteverything works except for the items I mentioned above. It always starts, rides great, truly great,80 is about max speed for this truck but at 75 which is what I usually do on the interstate, you can barely tell you're moving. The engine is loud because it's diesel, so it's not a silent ride but it's as quiet as it was in 1989.It also has a stereo system by Pioneer which sounds amazing, it includes Bluetooth.I don't take it off-road for fun anymore, but from past experience I know, this truck is great off road even in 2WD, those styletires are great off road, yet not to aggressive for normal driving. It's a daily driver for sure & I know the buyer is going to enjoy a great truck. I'm selling because I just bought a Starfire & that puts me up to four cars which is way too much insurance to pay for so I'm doing this trucka favor by selling it rather than letting it rot back into the ground. I've had more fun & more memories in this truck than I could ever begin to count, so to whoever gets it, please take care. If you have any other questions I'll be happy to answer.
