Description of 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle

The 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is one of the meanest looking years for this muscle car legend, and so you can't go wrong with a bright blue body, big block power, and an upgraded suspension backing it all up.You've got to love the sleek pillarless coupe body. You would think that these cars would need big dual stripes on the hood, the hallmarks of most high performance Chevy vehicles of the era, but instead, this wears the 1969-correct white side stripe that emphasizes the gentle arc of the Chevelle's sheetmetal. We really do like the way the white looks against the legendary Marina Blue color. Plus, when you get closer, you'll start to notice special attention was paid to give this Chevelle exceptional body gaps and smooth action on the wide doors. Shiny chrome bumpers, bright stainless window trim, and the proper SS fender badges all add to the very authentic look. Of course, this sporty package wouldn't be complete without Chevy's iconic Rally wheels. The Chevelle might have been Chevy's midsize car, but it's clear from these pictures that there's room for the whole family. But really, it's the driver that matters the most. Black bucket seats are what we all love to see when we open the door to a muscle machine. Plus, the center console is excellent, and it comes complete with the iconic horseshoe shifter. This coupe feels exceptionally authentic inside from the moment you grab the three-spoke sports steering wheel. But you'll also start to notice some nice upgrades. For example, there's a SunPro tach cleanly mounted in the center of the round gage pack, and there's also an auxiliary readout trio under the dash. These are some nice hints that there's something special under the hood even before you twist the key and let this Chevelle roar.Lift the hood to see a big block 396 (ok, really 402) cubic-inch V8. It has been nicely dressed in a proper coat of Chevy Orange. Chrome valve covers and a bright chrome air cleaner were standard issue on big block SS models in 1969, and this one does a nice modern take on that idea. In fact, the whole engine bay looks tidy enough that it's already ready for the car show. Then again, you might not want to stop driving this one because the Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and long tube headers combine to make some serious power and an exceptionally irresistible growl when you mash the accelerator. And more than just pure power, the undercarriage photos reveal there have been some nice investments in the suspension, too. Tubular A-arms up front, thick sway bars front & rear, and an adjustable coilover setup at each wheel give you a true advantage on the streets. Plus, the stout TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and power front disc brakes makes this a nice all-around cruiser. This mean and sharp Chevelle is everything you want, and it's ready today. But a muscle machine like this doesn't wait for long, so call today!
