| Ok guys this is the truck youve been waiting for. A 1985 Chevy truck that hasnt been all cut up or modified. This truck is mostly original stock. there hard to find in this nice condition. It is a 1985 Chevy 2 wheel drive. It has the V-8 engine with the automatic trans. The engine runs great with no noise and the trans shifts just as it should. This truck was owned by the same person for over 28 years and thats why its this nice. The truck has been on the road and has a current state inspection sticker. This is not one of those that has been stuck away to rot its been well taken care of and its conditions shows it. It has the Scottsdale package with Air. power steering. power brakes. m-fm etc. The air will probably need charged but its all there. One of the pics shows the glove box sticker telling what options it has. Guys you can get in this truck and go down the road. It has a new fuel pump. starter. and muffler and tailpipe. The body on this truck is amazing how solid it is. The only places I see where there may be rust through is a spot on each cab corner about the size of a dime. Im pretty sure its original paint. The paint still shines pretty good but its getting thin in places from its age and being waxed all its life. To be extra nice it should be painted but it looks very nice as it is for its age. fine for a daily driver. Remember this is a 85 model truck and for it to be in this condition is very rare. There are pics of the small rust places I spoke of and also a pic of a ding or two. theres no major dents of any kind anywhere on the truck only minor things you would expect from a vehicle this age. The bed floor only has surface rust. no rust through at all including the tailgate. Its amazing how nice the body is. The interior is showing some wear but good for its age. The seat has a pretty nice cover on it. the actual seat cover has some minor tears but not all ripped up. Dash pad has a cover on it which looks good. im sure the dash pad has cracks from being about 30 years old. A couple of the gauges dont work. not sure about the fuel gauge. I htink it has a new fuel tank. The door panels look good. the windows are manual but its very easy to add power windows if you wanted. The tires only have a few miles on them and they are high dollar Michelins. The wheels are the factory rallys with newer trim rings on them. they look nice. Grille is pretty good. front bumper is showing minor discoloring on top from age. rear step bumper is chrome wirh a small place on one end starting to peel a little. very nice for a daily driver. The spare tire is still under the truck in the original location. Guys you wont believe the nice condition of this truck. To find a mostly original 1985 short wide bed truck is almost unheard of. there just not around anymore. Thats about all I know to tell you. If you have questions please ask. dont assume anything. One other thing guys. the truck shows 45000 miles. it s hard to tell whether its over 100. 00 or what with a truck this age so im selling it as true miles unknown. The valve cover gaskets were leaking a little on the truck so I installed a new set of gaskets. When I pulled the valve covers off they have GM stickers on them that say GM 350. The engine underneath the the valve covers is super clean. no gunk. carbon build up of any kind. That being said. im thinking the engine was updated at some time with a new GM 350 engine. Cant say for sure but just want to be up front and honest about it. Thanks |
