I purchased the car in September of 2004. The engine had been completely rebuilt by the prior owner in May of that year. I had a complete nut & bolt frame-off done on the car that was completed in 2005. Both frame and body were sand/bead blasted. A few panels had rust spots so they were replaced with new panels. The car was completely re-built. The only items that I can remember that were not replaced were the engine, rear end and driveshaft. Everything inside, outside and under were replaced with new parts. I can provide a complete listing of all items. A few items of chrome were in good shape so they were refurbished - the rest were replaced with new. I have put 8,700 miles on the car since it was completed in 2006. Actual total mileage unknown.

The car is painted 2001 Prowler Orange Metallic with Ice Pearl metal flake in 2 coats of Clear, covered with 2 more clear coats. It is unique and absolutely gorgeous.

Full disclosure...

This is an excellentdriverrestomod car. It is an eye catcher that is perfect for "dragging main", weekend fun runs and club shows. I repeat - it is a driver. It is NOT a trophy show car. The body work and paint were not done to those standards. That said, it is a beautiful car that commands attention.

• • Body smoothness - there is a slight waviness to several areas on the body - see pictures.
• • Paint flaw - 2 lighter colored parallel lines on trunk lid - see picture.
• • There are a few tiny road chips. You have to really look to find them and are normal for the miles.
• • A couple of tiny shallow dimples in the roof that were due to my carelessness - see picture
• • Windshield wipers do not work correctly. One of the cables stripped out years ago. I don't drive the car in rain so never fixed them.
• • Gear shift indicator spring broke years ago. Not a good fit with the Ididit column.

No trades. Please donotask for my reserve price. I advertised the car last year with a much higher reserve price which was almost reached. I love my 56, but it is time to move on to another project.
