Description of 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Sports Car

1979 Camaro Z28

Up for auction is a 1979 Camaro Z28. It is a real Z28. It is a loaded up car (power everything and air conditioning).

It has T-Tops and they seal nicely to the roof, but they do leak against the door windows. Adjusting the door windows up would fix this.

When I took these photos the new interior had not been installed, but I had purchased all the interior parts needed.

When I was fifteen years old in 1979 all I wanted was this color Z28 for my first car.

I bought this car to restore it in February of 2017.

What you see is what you get.

Miles - The gauge says 97,000, but it does not work. I have only driven it 10 miles since I purchased it in February of 2017. The miles are unknown.

Engine

The engine and transmission and exhaust seem fine as it runs good, drives good and sounds good.

Brakes

This car needs the brakes looked at. I have not done anything to the brakes.

I drove it ten miles to the car wash on Sunday, June 11. 2017 without seats to see where the T-Tops leak and the brakes worked well.

T-Tops leak at door window area.

The T-Tops leak at the front area where the door glass meets the T-Top.

Tires

The tires are in great condition on Corvette Ralley wheels and they look great.

What does this car need?

It needs to be painted.

It has scratches, ding marks and rust.

It needs the driver door replaced because of rust. I know where to obtain one door if the buyer needs one.

Parts I purchased for this Z28.

I have purchased many new parts for this Z28.

I installed a new battery

I installed new battery connectors

I installed new battery cables.

This car starts fast and easy.

New vinyl door panels. They look great.

New vinyl seat covers installed on original frames. They look great.

New chrome kick seal plates.

New tan headliner (not yet installed, but it will be before the auction ends).

The car seat frames were sand blasted and painted.

New driver door exterior handle.

New dash pad cap cover (The original dash is cracked and the dash cap covers the cracks).

I reserve the right to end the auction early as I am selling it locally.

WARRANTY - NO - this 1979 Z28 is being sold as is without warranty where is.

PAYMENT - payment must be made within seven (7) business days. Electronic payment transferring funds into my account must be cleared before the title is released.

I would prefer cash for this car.

What is this car worth? I am valuing this car between $12,000 to $15,000.00. Let's see how much it brings. The interior is brand new

Why am I selling this Z28? I have a new dream project that I want to restore and I need to sell this Z28.

I reserve the right to end the auction early as I am selling it locally.

Feel free to come see the car in Daleville, Indiana (near Muncie, IN - one hour north of Indianapolis).

Good Luck in the auction! Bid to win!

On Jun-12-17 at 05:37:04 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have had three phone calls for the following;

1. Headliner - I have not installed the new $299 headliner. I hope to get it installed tonight (Monday, June 12th).

2. Front bumper cover - the front bumper facia cover has a tear in it. It was taped when I purchased it and it will need a new front bumper facia cover. They cost $50 to $250 on eBay.

3. Engine - the engine is very strong. This car will spin the tires very easy. It has lots of power.

Feel free to call me at 248-404-8811.

This car is for sale locally and I have the right to cancel this auction.
