Description of 1983 Chevrolet C-10 Custom Deluxe

This is a nice solid 83 Chevy C10 short bed pickup. It is not a barn find or in mint condition, but it has not been molested in any major way. Even the jack & handle are still on the inner fender. I purchased it last year from the 2nd owner who had owned it since 1994.
I bought this truck with the intent of doing a turbo 4.8 LS swap, but due to unexpected health reasons, I am not going to be able to do that any time soon. So instead of letting the truck sit & languish, I have decided to sell it & is listed her with no reserve. Showing 62,800 miles, but is probably 162,800. Currently has a 305 engine & th350 transmission. They are both replacements & run great, but the exact mileage on them is unknown. Also has new radiator, fuel pump, brakes, battery, & windshield wipers.
Truck has a small amount of easily fixable rust in each bed side behind the rear wheels as shown in the photos. Other than some minor surface rust in various places, the front fenders, cab, rockers, cab corners, bed floor, doors, etc. are solid. Paint is fair, clear is peeling & has some patina on the hood & top. It had a bed liner in it till recently, which is why the pain in the bed is still bright. Would be an excellent & very easy truck to restore to mint condition.
Manual windows & door locks, rubber floor mat, vinyl seat & does not have AC. Original sliding back window. All the glass is good. Everything works as it should with the exception of the gas gauge which works intermittently, sometimes it reads correctly, sometimes empty. Door panels need some attention, dash pad is cracked as most are on this generation of truck, & the seat has a couple minor tears. Dash was cut for a din size radio, but radio is not in the truck. Patch panels are available to fix where the dash where is was cut for the radio, if you wanted to install an original knob style radio, Has rally wheels with fair Michelin tires.
The truck starts right up, runs & drives good, but the mufflers & tailpipes are rusty & need to be replaced unless you like it loud. This truck is a great candidate for a LS swap project or as a daily driver. I have tried to list the truck as accurately as possible, do not hesitate to ask any questions.
