Description of 1972 Chevrolet Nova

Well built street or strip 1972 Chevrolet Nova
This car was built to race and run on the street.
350 small block V8 punched out to 408.Ran the car on a trailer dyno at a car show on a 95 degree day on pump gas for a respectable 405hp at the rear wheels. Motor has a 4/7 cam, high revving sweet sounding thump thump idle. The torque will amaze you, she pulls hard and super straight. Rear end is a 4:11 10 bolt posi with leaf spring set-up.
This car is a low option car, no power steering, no power brakes.
Lots of race accessories, Holley race carb, no choke. High rise intake, Brodix aluminum heads, coated headers, x-pipe, electric exhaust cut outs, 3" exhaust exiting at the rear. Electric water pump, aluminum radiator, electric fans, MSD box and coil.
TCI turbo 350 transmission with reverse manual valve body, start in first gear pull back each gear to three. Line lock and trans break, 3000 rpm stall converter.
Upper and lower tubular A arms, four piston manual disk brakes all the way around with slotted and drilled rotors, sub-frame connectors.
10 gallon fuel cell in the trunk with electric fuel pump. Optima red top battery mounted in the trunk with master shut off on the tail pan.
Interior is close to stock, no rear seat, race buckets, 6 point roll cage, gauges include speedometer, tach, water temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure, trans pressure, shift light, oil light, volt meter. 5 point harness for driver, lap for passenger. No stereo, have switch plate mounted in place for water pump, fuel pump and electric exhaust cut outs.
The car is silver with a black vinyl top, painted hood and deck stripes, vinyl side and hood decals. The paint is good driver quality but not a show car, no rust but a few paint chips and scuffs. Hood and bumpers are fiberglass, cowl is 4". Rear bumper is cracked near the center. See pic
Rear wheels are Weld Rodlites 15x10 drag radials, getting close to needing replacement. Tires are 295/65/15 Mikey Thompson ET streets. Fronts are 15x6 Cragers on new Mikey Thompsons.
This is not a dailey driver, it is a race car or fun cruiser for car shows. Nothing better than pulling into a car show with wide open exhaust and turning heads. Im 50 years old, its time for me to part with this car asI no longer have time to go to car shows.
