Description of 1963 Chevrolet Nova Convertible SS

1963 Chevy ll Nova 400 Series (True SS) 2-door bucket seat convertible

This is a rare car. There is not an official number of how many with bucket seats were made but it’s under 15,000. There was a similar amount made with a bench seat.

On the outside this beautiful car is stock. Underneath the hood not so much.

This Nova has a 383 stroked 350 cid race engine that makes 400 HP. The engine includes: 4-bolt main; roller cams and rockers; custom cylinder heads; gear drive; high compression, high performance pistons; and H beam connectivity rods. The engine has 5000 miles on a rebuild and 1000 miles on a complete re-seal. Also: Headman headers; chrome alternator assy; new MSD ignition; Heidts power brake kit; custom aluminum radiator; and shroud/fans. (SEE PHOTOS)

Underneath starts with a Mustang II suspension w/ front discs, powder coated front end. Replaced the weak sub frame with a Heidts rear four link-subframe connector assembly. New everything. 3.70 posi with10 bolt, etc. Wildwood brakes. Weld draglite wheels. New tires. (SEE PHOTOS)

White custom interior. B&M shifter. Good paint job but not car show good. Some little nicks here and there. New convertible top. Manual convertible mechanism works well. Car has lived in California and Arizona it’s entire life. Absolutely no rust. Email me any questions.

There is still work to be done on the car. Current projects: improving the carpet around the B&M shifter; passenger side door needs to be tightened up; small dent on the back bumper. And living in Arizona you’re always thinking about how to enhance the cooling system so the car can handle stop and go better in the middle of summer.
