Description of 1948 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3100 |
| Project truck - barn find in my own barn. The truck has been sitting 10+ years inside. All body parts and chassis have either been acid dipped or sandblasted and coated in PPG DP (Epoxy) primer. Body has been chopped 5" and windshield leaned back and sectioned 3" through middle of cab and hood. No body work completed - body only has the DP primer on it. Chassis has been modified with Camaro subframe in front and 9" Ford disc brake in rear. ECI under floor brake booster. tilt steering is installed and connected. Chassis needs brake lines and fuel lines and gas tank (no tank) installed. Original truck was longbed so frame has been shortened behind the cab and c notched to allow the truck to sit low. The truck sits low and does not have air ride or dropped spindles. Tailgate included. Have misc. parts like old bumpers. bumper brackets. original radiator. new bed crossmembers. Trans is rebuilt 350 with short genie shifter. Engine was rebuilt 10+ years ago by Steve Ashworth Performance Engines. Engine was broken in when installed but has not been run since. Wheels are chrome solids with baby moon centers. |
