Description of 1969 Chevrolet C-10 custom |
This is a 1969 Chevy C10 short wid, AKA Battleshi, that has been fully restored with a 1968 Chevy front clip. Lets start out with the build. The truck and all parts used have been acid dipped, the frame was sand blasted. we started off with the cab. we cut out all the rust and repaired any thing that was wrong. the cab was set on the frame all body panels were lined up. and body gaps was cut and tig welded, for a nice gap, we smoothed the fire wall, installed Kindig door handles, install porter built hood hinges, customs built marker lights, the in side of the bed was custom built. all the body work was done with lead, and skimmed with small amounts of fill was used from there. the body was then premiered and blocked out with 120 and then taken down again seam sealed and primed and blocked out with 400, under the cab has been color matched bed lined along with the in side the fenders and bed. the inside of the truck was painted and flat cleared, the out side of the truck was then painted same color and cleared with 3 coats of ppg. the body was then wet sanded and cleared again. After the frame was sandblasted we install a full Porter Built front cross member with porter built arms, and a full Porter built Rear kit. the frame was then powder coated and we installed a ls3 with a lite cam and a 6l90, Boyd welding efi tank full air ride. the motor is a ls3 the has had a small cam installed, the block was paint to match the truck, we installed a Holley mid rise intak, Holley injectors, our custom valve covers, wegner motorsports pulley set up, Holley oil pan, custom built stainless headers and flow masters, The gm 6l90 as been fully built. the bed wood is birds eye maple that has been custom stained and flat cleared The wiring: the motor and trans harness is built from speartech lsx the chassis harness is painless It has vintage air it has a custom built ididit tilt column gauge are Dakota digital HDX the seats and door panels are custom built with custom died leather all the trim is from Mar-K the wheel where custom made and painted to match the truck all the lights are led, the head light are led, The truck is ran off a touch and go ( so a touch start ) truck has power windows the rear wheel tub a steel that was hand build the front inner fenders and radiator covers are custom made the radiator is a custom built becool with 2 high output fans all the seals are new the rear end is built with a Yukon posi,gears and timkin bearing, and Dutchman axels brakes are 14" wilwoods with 6 piston front 4 piston rear all the fuel lines are braided stainless steel the air ride is full accuair with e-level New endo tank, I-level, 2 air zenith ob2 compressors, truck has 2 optima batts, all batt cable are 2 gauge the trans cooler is a b&m with its own 10" fan, 2 avs batt. racks mini starter Fesler taillights hydro boost wildwood master cpp spindels front air bags are slam specialties rear bags are ridetech sleeve bags all the shocks are ride techs HQ factory Gm radio delete plate All Paint is PPG all seam seal is SEM epoxy bed liner is all SEM Toyo tires custom 20"american racing wheels Custom built speaker box with a 12" t, rock ford t1000x4 Rockford components, Rockford 360 so everything runs off you phone or I pad I can keep going on and on, I have drove the truck 59 miles the truck has been to 2 shows and taken isca awards, truck has been shoot for magazines and a few parts adds. there has been a lot done to this truck so much its hard to list it all. all brake and full lines are done in AN fittings. billet steering wheel on and on The trucks Name is Battleship the story on the truck is me and my brother start this truck right after I started my company for a customer to make a long story short the customer never finished the truck I ended up buying it. My brother died of Cancer and it was the last truck he worked on. so I bought it and restarted the build on it. I watch my brother battle cancer for 2 years so when I was asked what I was going to name the build I said battleship. I will be given part of the money of the sell of this truck to the children's Hospital. the truck will also be post local and can cancel this at any time.
