Up for auction is a 1969 Chevy Suburban dually. These vintage suburbans are currently one of the hottest selling classic vehicles according to Hagertys rating index over the last 2 years and are expected to dramatically increase in value over the next few years as more and more collectors scoop them up. Alot of them were used and abused and turned into farm or hunting trucks so good examples are getting rare. This is your chance to get a great looking and very functional custom truck before the prices skyrocket.

This is the only truck of its kind, truly a one-off. It is a very rust free truck, spending most of its life in Arizona, and the last 7 years as part of a private collection in Texas.

It is now a custom 1 tondually 3 door with rear cargo 'barn' doors. A very rare combination. It as Front and rear A/C, 10,000 GVW tow package, custom 1 ton suspension front and rear. It also has dual (2) 25 gallon gas tanks, with a digital dual fuel gauge. It has Custom flow master exhaust. The engine is a big block, 454ci 4 barrel backed by a heavy duty turbo 400 overdrive automatic trans. The transmission is equipped with a Gear Vendor underdrive unit, which costs 2,500.00 alone, and allows for 6 forward gears, amazing towing torque, and greatly improved fuel economy. All works excellent.

The truck also has power brakes, power steering, power windows, power locks and power leather seats. It also comes loaded with cruise control, CD & AM/FM player with ceiling mounted DVD player, cadence audio amps, custom high watt speakers and a disc changer in the console. The seats and console were taken from a Lincoln Navigator. Most of the underpinnings and suspension was taken from a late 90's heavy duty Chevy with a dual rear 1 ton axle so repairs and replacement parts are easy and inexpensive. It also has billet wheels and a wood & billet steering wheel. The dually modifications were finished with custom molded steel stepside fenders.
This truck will make an excellent pull vehicle for your custom rod, bike or boat. It also has rear airbag suspension with a dash pressure gauge and gas shocks all the way around with built in trailer light plug in. The rear air suspension can be raised and lowered from the driver seat to better support and level a trailer load.
Thanks for the beefy 454 big block and the Gear Vendors unit, this truck has a lot of power and acceleration and will muscle down the road as fast as you want to go. I drove on our Texas highways here at 70mph easily.
The paint is gloss white and in great shape.

ISSUES:
There are a couple of things on the truck that are getting old or worn out that may need to be looked at:
- the rear a/c stopped blowing cold. I had it looked at and the tech said the hoses had dry rotted from age, so it needs new hoses made from the compressor to the rear unit
- the tachometer sometimes bounces inaccurately. I had it looked at and was told the tach is inexpensive & just old and would be best to just replace it.
- the power seats operate but are very slow. May need lubrication, or the factory motor could be worn out. These seats look like Navigator, so that would be the motor to use.
- the radio is a very old, dated unit, it works fine if you can get used to it but in truth is alittle complicated and wouldnt hurt to replace with something more modern.

Other than the above, the truck drives well and gets alot of attention. Very fun car to take to the local meet, cruise around town or haul your hot rod with. We have driven the truck several times and never had any problems. Keep in mind it is 48 years old and not a new car, but it is in good condition considering its age.
