Description of 1992 Chevrolet Caprice --

1992 Chevrolet Caprice Wagon / Amazing Condition / 68,775 documented miles / 1 owner until 2017 You are viewing a gorgeous 1992 Chevy Caprice Wagon which has 68,775 miles ORIGINAL and DOCUMENTED on the title. It is clear from the condition of the car this has been pampered since new. It was purchased new at Carl Haga Chevy-Geo in Milton, PA. The original owner was a banker who was absolutely meticulous about his Chevy. It saw very little (if any) salt, and was mainly driven for summer vacations. He ordered the car with almost every conceivable option. (See picture of window sticker). He had matching carpets cut to fit over top the factory carpet to keep the interior looking like new. I don't think shoes have ever touched the factory carpet! He also had all the seats covered in dark blue bath towels, so until my ownership this fall, no one probably ever sat on the upholstery! I would love to keep it, but I have too many cars and need to liquidate a good chunk of my collection (I have 3 other classic cars for sale). This car rarely saw any kind of inclement weather and deserves a home that will care for it properly. Everything about the car is in beautiful shape. It has a lot of options, such as AM/FM stereo & cassette radio w/ power antenna, power windows/locks/seats/mirrors, heated mirrors, built-in compass in the rearview mirror, automatic leveling, limited slip differential, etc. Overall the car is immaculate. It is probably one of the cleanest cars you will ever find having 68k miles. The title is clear and has no liens. The title also documents the original mileage. This is an extremely comfortable car, and one of the last years of the traditional rear-wheel drive full-frame wagons...with the powerful tried-and-true reliable (and economical) 5.7 liter fuel injected engine. The car runs and drives beautifully and I'm sure it would go across country effortlessly. See the description below for further details. Exterior: The paint is a beautiful 2-tone sapphire blue metallic with contrasting silver metallic bottom. It has a beautiful luster and reflects the fact it was garage kept. The pictures do not do it justice! The chrome and the stainless steel also shine brilliantly. The factory locking wire hub caps are beautiful and have no curb rash. The exterior is absolutely gorgeous and is obvious of the care it has received. There are no significant flaws to speaks of regarding the exterior. A few minor stone chips exist on the lower part of the front bumper, and a few areas on the silver grille insert (egg crate area) where there are a few chips. Almost no dings (if any) to speak of. The underbody is in great shape, with only minor surface scale...evident that it saw very little inclement weather, if any. I believe the paint is original except for the front hood and fender, due to the fact the prior owner hit a deer at one point. According to the prior owner, the fender and hood were replaced with GM parts except for the grille. No structural damage was done, and the work was done very professionally. If I didn't disclose it, you'd properly never know. The paint work is as good or better than factory! The Carfax report shows no accidents. Interior: The interior is very plush, having very comfortable and soft cloth seats, which feel, look, and smell brand new.....and there are NO air fresheners needed in this car! It was obviously NEVER smoked in. Cigarette lighters were never used. There are no rips, stains or holes. As said earlier, the factory carpets are just like brand new, even the original floor mats. Of course the additional carpets will be included with the car; I only removed them for the pictures. The headliner does not sag and is like new. The dash is beautiful. Arm rests are like new....no cracks, etc. The power equipment goodies all work, even the power antenna! The only thing that does not work is the horn button on the steering wheel, in which I had to install a separate button on the lower dash panel. Mechanical: The motor purrs like a kitten and is very smooth. As mentioned earlier, the motor is the efficient and torquey 5.7 fuel-injected engine which is both economical and reliable. The transmission shifts smooth as it should. A/C still blows good cold air (still the factory R-12 type). All 4 Goodyear tires match and are almost new; they are smooth at highway speeds without any shakes or shimmies. The car recently passed both the safety and emissions PA inspection and is valid through December 2018. I have driven the car several hundred miles and it rides and drives absolutely amazing. The steering is tight and brakes are smooth. No leaks anywhere to my knowledge. This baby runs beautifully and is ready for show! Overall: If you are looking for a spectacular example of the last of the traditional full size wagon, this one's for you. This car has to be one of the nicest ones around. This car is so nice, that most people might say the car is "perfect" or "flawless”. The average person may describe it as such-- but for a car collector, there's never anything 100% perfect unless it was restored. As such, this car was never restored and has almost 69,000 miles. Therefore it has some trivial flaws as mentioned in the description. I have sold numerous cars on eBay and in all situations I had positive feedback. I attempt to describe each vehicle as accurately and honestly as possible and I do not think you will be disappointed. As with anything, if you desire to bid on the vehicle, I would encourage you to see it physically and drive it for yourself before you bid. I would not be afraid to drive this car across the country. It runs and drives excellent and will make a very nice classic for you.
